Miho had already figured that getting a clear emotional response out of Tayano was going to be really difficult. Perhaps it was the lingering effects of his sudden intrusion onto her intended solo session at the karaoke place. He didn't think she disliked him too much, otherwise she would've asked him to leave. Apathy was harder to read and that had been about all she offered. So there were little suns to look for. As he waited for the tawny haired idol to give a verdict on his singing he studiously gazed at her expression. It was neutral as it had been.. except her eyes. There was something in them that gave away that she felt more than apathy, much more.
The shine they gave off would have made any jeweler envious. Before this moment Tayano hadn't shown anything like that in her expression, so this was clearly something new. Paired with the carefully selected words she spoke it was clear to Miho that he'd done something right. His smile was cheerful as always as he got halfway through taking a seat. Then he thought better of it and stood back up, clutching the microphone. Now that he'd sung for her and then done a duet with someone more famous than him, what was next?
"I'm humbled that Tayano-san thinks I was extraordinary," he remarked happily, then leaned forward a little and just up and asked, "So what do you want to do now, Tayano-san? If you just want to sing yourself, I'll be happy to listen! You were extraordinary yourself just now."
