Ready to Rock After what she felt was a successful interview, Yuki returned to the hotel. It was going to be a long day, as every other idol was doing the same thing, and they weren't allowed to go out on their own. After all, they were going to be filmed touring the city. So, she decided to do some extra research on the attractions while waiting for the go-ahead. One thing she knew for sure, though, was that she wanted to go to Longshan Temple first. Yuki was sure everyone else was going to go shopping first, or to the zoo, or something, so she'd do this to escape some of the crowds. The rest she could do later.
Evidently one of the producers thought of something, and told her that this was fine, though she'd have to go with someone from Afternoon Delight. Evidently they hoped that by pairing them up they could get fans of both bands interested, and also introduce some crossover appeal. Marketing stuff. Yuki didn't mind - unlike some people, she had absolutely no problem with their rival band. Sure, she was gonna make sure that it was GEM247 that won the AiDORU competition, but outside of competing, she felt rivals could be friends. It fit her narrative of the world, anyway.
That's how she found herself waiting at the gates of Longshan Temple. A small film crew was there already, and she was dressed casually - a black singlet top with a cream coloured skirt. Some people were looking at her as she waited for the girl she'd be touring the temple with. Even from here it looked like she'd made the right choice in coming. The earthy colours were very appealing, and the design itself was cool. It'd be nice to be able to perform here, but it'd probably be disrespectful. Hopefully she gets here soon... I can't wait to get a closer look! | ► Hopefully This is OK! Open or closed? |

something is wrong with the sum of us that i can't seem to erase how i can i be the only one without a smile on my face Ayano Takagaki sighed out loud, looking around her. She had at last gotten done with her own interview, and, having watched a few fellow idols do their own, was bored with it. It was about time that she left for a little while and found something else to do to keep her mind off of her reputation and well, being an idol. While it was her dream come true, there always happened to be days when she wished things were well...quieter. Today was one of those days and, stepping out of the doors of the Radio Station, the tawny haired Soloist scanned Taipei, getting her first real look at it. All in all, it wasn't that much unlike her own home town, but of course, there were people of different ethnicity, something she normally didn't see much of growing up, with larger crowd and over all a more tourist-friendly feeling. She was herself a tourist, of sorts, so she felt it suited her pretty well. It really was allot to take in, but it was the good kind of taking in. Not relaxing, but more, awe-inspiring, if you were to out a word to it. She was in a new country, and it seemed that just now that information had processed through her mind. This was Taipei. Just as the young girl started heading back to God knows where, her her jacket's pocket started ringing. Tilting her head to the side, she froze, slipping her phone out of her pocket. Who was messaging her? Normally only her manager or a few other members would message her. Perhaps it was them congratulating her on a job well done in the interview. Not exactly sure, Ayano turned on her phone, noticing it was in fact a message from her Manager. But not one telling her good job. Looking at it closely, the thirteen year old read: Go to Longshan Temple. Camera are there. Dress appropriately. Also, you'll be meeting with GEM247.
Groaning slightly, the girl soon realized there were some people watching her, and with wide, nervous eyes, she threw her phone back into her jacket pocket. Looks like she's going into a Temple. With one of her worst enemies. She supposed that it would be a good idea to head down to her hotel room and throw something on for the Temple trip, though she wasn't sure quite what. She was known for her excellent taste in fashion, so she could not let the camera down. For sure, she needed to fit in with the place. It wasn't ultimately as challenging as she had anticipated, finding something decent to wear, and in a matter of minutes, the young girl stepped out of her hotel once again, sporting what she hoped would look good for a temple excavation. She wore a camo skirt with a pair of black legging under. With a light green shirt under a camo jacket, and her hair up in a high ponytail, kept up by, you guessed it, a camo ribbon. She wore a pair of tan boots that looked like those that archeologists would wear, and so hopefully it looked nice. A camera with her just in case she wanted to preserve these memories herself, the idol headed down to the temple, not quite sure what she was to expect when she made it there. "Hai there minna!" Tayano cried out excitedly, practically leaping on top of the press. They all seemed pleased to see her, despite the fact that inside, she wasn't very thrilled herself. Oh well, all that she really cared about was her little play mate for today. Scanning the old entrance to the temple, she soon found a familiar face, and familiar light pink hair. "Minase-chi!!" Tayano chirped, running up to the GEM247 member, as if she really was happy to see the girl. The least that she could think honestly was that she would be the most glad to see Yuki Minase, as she was one of the only members of the rival group that she ever seemed to really get along with. Looking from her current partner, then to the camera crew, she gave her usual signature wink. " Alrighty then, let's explore this thing!!"[OOC: Looks great to me! And ifs okay with you, I'd like this to be a closed roleplay. ] 739 words, made by akemi of btn |

Ready to Rock A loud, familiar voice quickly drew Yuki's attention, and she turned around a split second slower than the camera crew and grinned. It looked like she'd be touring the place with Ayano Takagaki - Tayano to her fans. She had to admit that she was a little jealous of the little girl. After all, she was a soloist at 13. Being an idol might not be her end goal, but she had her pride, too. She could also play more instruments than her. Different from what she played, at least. Still, that was just the way things were. There was always someone better, and Yuki did her best to not let it get to her.
"Ah, Taka-chan! There you are!" She waved to the younger girl as she ran over. She was certainly dressed for the occasion. The boots she was wearing were pretty cool, too. Yuki herself had only gone with simple dark shoes with dark stockings almost, but not quite, all the way up her leg. It looked like Ayano was pleased to be here, too. Even if it happened to be an act, she didn't want to spend time with someone who was going to be sullen and complain all the time. That would have really put a damper on her mood.
More people started looking now as Ayano put on a little show for the camera. She couldn't help but giggle a little at how cute the little girl was. "Hehe, yes, let's get going!" Yuki had her mobile phone with her for taking photos, and certainly expected to be taking a fair few over the course of the trip. She'd already taken one of the entrance, so she headed on in. Of course, the film crew wouldn't have allowed her to go inside the gates just yet - they needed footage of the two of them together, after all.
It was much cooler inside the temple grounds. There were a fair few people, but not so much as to make it hard to walk around, and it was almost like a bazaar, with what looked like fortune tellers sitting at the edges, and even someone receiving a massage. Apparently she was making a funny face as one of the cameras moved in to focus on her. Yuki ended up giving them a bit of an embarrassed smile as she realised this before taking a photo of the temple itself. It was even better in person than in the photos she'd seen on-line. "Hey, Taka-chan, what do you think about fortune telling?" She asked as she pointed towards an old woman peering intently at the palm of a younger woman. "I wouldn't mind having my fortune told... although she probably doesn't understand Japanese." | ► Gotcha! Thread is closed! |

something is wrong with the sum of us that i can't seem to erase how i can i be the only one without a smile on my face Ayano went on to further observe the fellow idol. She was very pretty- she for sure had to admit, much cuter then she herself, who was plain narrow and straight. But of course that was because of the bit of an age difference between the two and ultimately the difference in their current growth. Oh, how she sometimes envied the bodies of older girls, and even a few other girls that were her age. Yuki Minase didn't even need to dress up all nice like she always did, and the camera crew went to her like moths go to a light. Sighing in her mind, she told her self that it was useless thinking about these things, as she probably couldn't and wouldn't change her fate in such a way. Instead, she figured that she would try and have fun today, as while the whole idea of wandering aimlessly through an old temple didn't exactly spark her as a great way to spend her afternoon, it would be good for her image, and if things were good for her image, she would be doing them, regardless of what they were. Giggling a little bit, Tayano smiled back at Yuki. She seemed happy enough to see her, which would in the end help her out a little bit. Yuki didn't strike Ayano as one of those idols like herself that would put on a fake mask in public, and end up being very foul in private. Ayano was quite the Hypocrite in a way, considering she hated people like that more then she hated anything. Then again, she didn't exactly adore herself..... Trying not to get too lost in her own thoughts, she decided upon keeping herself amused. Looking at the camera once more, she listened to Yuki, who was rearing to go, much like she was- or at least was saying that she was. "Hehe, yes, let's get going!" Yuki Minase agreed cheerily, stepping into the temple without a moment further hesitation. Tayano nodded, following directly behind her. Once she stepped inside, her jaw dropped, mouth gaping wide open. It really was a beautiful place, full of history just from looking at it. While she knew the place was old, she had expected something...different. It was kinda hard to explain exactly, but really, she didn't expect the Temple to be so.....beautiful. Getting lost in the ancient beauty of the structure, she froze for a moment, snapping back into attention as a young native accidentaly rammed into her shoulder, taking off without a second glance. Cutting a glare quickly, she soon reverted back to the alert and hyper-active Tayano, bounding forward to catch up with the light red haired idol from GEM247. Taking her camera out from around her neck, Ayano turned it on, holing it up so that she snap a few pictures quickly. She made sure to do as cutely as possibly, one leg lifted up as she took a snapshot of a young woman who was offering Tarot Card readings. "Wow, you could get some awesome pictures in this place~!" The tawny haired girl excitedly commented, snapping pictures rapidly, seemingly amusing those who were video-taping the two of them. As soon as that quick comment had been said, Tayano noticed that Yuki was talking to her. Snap, she really needed to be paying more attention to the girl, if she planned on hanging out with her for the day. "Hey, Taka-chan, what do you think about fortune telling?" The older idol asked as she pointed at a wise-looking older woman who seemed to be a fortune teller. Interesting. " I wouldn't mind having my fortune told... although she probably doesn't understand Japanese." The other girl nodded approvingly, bounding over to the woman without a moment's hesitation. It sounded like a good idea to her, though she wasn't quite sure that she was ready for whatever the woman may or may not say to her about her apparent future. However, she herself wasn't sure whether or not she even believed in fortune telling in the first place. It was still an idea worth trying for the fun of it. Plus, the cameras would get a kick out of recording stuff like this. "Yeah Yuki-chii, let's do it!" And with that, Tayano stopped in front of the woman, giving her the sweetest face she could come up with. "Excuse me miss~do you mind giving me and my friend here a fortune reading?" It wasn't until a moment later that she remembered that she probably didn't even speak Japanese. Hopefully she did, because she didn't speak whatever she spoke, that was for sure. The thirteen year old looked back to Yuki for help, not even waiting to see i the Fortune Teller would or could respond. {OOC: Thanks! Can't wait to get this thing going, should be fun!} 829 words, made by akemi of btn |

Ready to Rock She couldn't help but take a glance at Ayano after she'd taken her photo. It looked like she was as awestruck as she was at the sight - perhaps even moreso. It took another person bumping in to her to shake her free, and she began taking her own photos. Heh, I wonder if that will be in the final cut. If it was, then that man might suddenly find himself on the receiving end of the fury of wotas everywhere. Thankfully she was still new and hadn't experienced anything terrible personally, but she'd been to 2chan and other places. Fans could be quite rabid.
When she mentioned the fortune teller, it seemed like Ayano didn't hear what she had to say about the language barrier. She just bounded off to go check things out. "Ah..." she tried to say, but she was already inviting her over. Oh well - maybe they'd get lucky! And she really wanted to see what their fortunes would be. Yuki watched as Ayano asked - in Japanese - for their fortunes to be told. The old woman just stared at her... or rather, it looked like she was staring past her. It was a little eerie.
Yuki waited a little bit to see if she'd say something before speaking herself. "Maybe she speaks English? I heard that a lot of people here can speak it." The girl suggested. She... wasn't very good at it, especially outside of the classroom, but maybe it'd be enough? The older idol thought for a second about what to say before starting. "Naice to meet yu. Ah... we... Japan." She gestured to herself and Ayano. "We... rike to get... ano... fochun preasu." That was right, wasn't it? She bowed deeply for good measure. Hopefully she hadn't come off as rude.
The woman looked properly at her for a moment, and laughed. It was the sort of low 'ohohoho' laugh you often heard elderly women make... at least in anime. Yuki couldn't help but blush a little. She knew that this was gonna end up on TV. "I speak Japanese. Many tourists from Japan. You... are Yuki Minase... and Ayano Takagaki." She spoke slowly and deliberately, but she definitely knew what she was saying. Several things ran through Yuki's mind. First was that she knew their names. Second was that they were kind of famous, so it wasn't impossible. Third was why would they be known to someone like this old woman. And fourth was that she had been able to speak Japanese this whole time and let her probably look like an idiot trying to speak English!
"So... which of you wishes to have their future told first? I must warn you... that I can tell you only predictions... and likely outcomes. More than once someone felt confident in their future... and their pride led to their downfall." She gave them a big smile, and there were large gaps where teeth used to be. Yuki got a tingle of nervousness and excitement down her spine. If anyone was a real fortune teller, then this was them! Still, she reigned in her excitement, and looked to Ayano. "So? You were here first, so I'll go after you." Still, if she preferred to go second, she was more than willing to jump in. This was going to be good! | ► It's cute how they are both jealous of each other. Feel free to use the fortune teller as you like! |

something is wrong with the sum of us that i can't seem to erase how i can i be the only one without a smile on my face Ayano watched Yuki Minase with a sparkle in her eye. She wasn't quite sure at this point whether or not the glint was fake, or if it had been fake for so long, that it was just now beginning to really be real. Maybe for once she wanted to do something different. Something with other people. Something called fun. Maybe, you never do know... The pinkish haired girl started heading in Ayano's direction, seemingly a little bit taken back by the younger girl's assurance in the fortune teller. While it was possible that the woman couldn't even understand a single word that she was saying, there was also the chance that she spoke some Japanese herself. Hopefully that would be the case, as nothing was any more embarassing to speaking to someone and sounding like complete nonsense to the other person. Because she had been in the other person's shoes before, like on that plane ride. So many people who spoke only English spoke to her, and it was odd. All that she could really do was nod and smile, saying "Yes" to everything, as it was the only English word that she knew how to say, other then, "Hello" Sometimes she was a little bit pathetic, especially when it came to street smarts. After all, she was only a thirteen year old girl. What could really even be expected outta her, anyways? The older idol seemed to wait a few moments for a reaction out of the fortune teller, but when the two got nothing but silence in response, she threw out a suggestion: "Maybe she speaks English? I heard that a lot of people here can speak it." Oh lord, not English. They would be better off using Morse code then speaking English, that was for sure. Giving Yuki an unsure look, she seemed to ignore it, turning over to the elderly woman and trying to converse. "Naice to meet yu. Ah... we... Japan." Most of this Ayano herself couldn't understand, though she did hear Japan out of it. So perhaps she was telling the fortune telling lady where the two of them were from? It was perhaps a good idea to do so, and Ayano admired her for both her ability to speak English (however much it happened to be), as well as the ability to know what to say to the woman. For sure, Yuki Minase had better street smarts then Ayano Takagaki, a thirteen year old girl who spends most of her free time keeping as far away from others as possible. And loving every minute of it, too. But was it really something that she should be loving after all? "We... rike to get... ano... fochun preasu." More complete and utter nonsene, or at least to her. Ayano simply nodded with wide, pleading eyes, It seemed, at least by her fellow idol's expression, that she was asking for the fortune. Hopefully that was what it was, or else oops.... Soon after Yuki had said this to the elderly woman, she looked at her, not saying a word. "What, was she deaf or something? Is that why she isn't replying?" Thought Ayano, hoping that wasn't the case. It would be very awkward to have her fortune told by someone whom she couldn't talk to. However, they could't do much talking that how, so maybe.... But alas, such thing was deemed untrue when she started chucking. It was a hohohoh sorta chuckle, one that had always amused the tawny. Smiling slightly, the "sweet" girl joined in on the laughter in a short burst of giggles. However, she was unsure what the giggles were about. Had Yuki said something humorous? Ayano and Yuki both learned soon after what exactly was going on, and exactly why she had been laughing, Once of course the fortune teller herself began speaking. "I speak Japanese. Many tourists from Japan. You... are Yuki Minase... and Ayano Takagaki." The woman declared with a pleasant, wise smile across her old, crinkles face. She looked from idol to idol as she spoke their names, getting a giggle out of Tayano, who was pleased to hear that she had been heard of by this woman. Certainly not the type of person you could expect to listen to her and Yuki's sort of music. Nonetheless, both Ayano and Tayano were honored, though shown in different ways. Tayano was brightly beaming, barely able to contain herself. Though more conversation was enough to keep her from up and hugging the old woman. "So... which of you wishes to have their future told first? I must warn you... that I can tell you only predictions... and likely outcomes. More than once someone felt confident in their future... and their pride led to their downfall." The woman looked at the two Teenagers again, grinning with her almost tooth-less mouth showing, slightly grossing the younger one out, though she did not act like she was. It would be rude to do such to a possible fan, or anyone, for that reason. About to volunteer Yuki to head up their first, it seemed the GEM247 girl beat her to it. "So? You were here first, so I'll go after you." She looked from the woman to Ayano, getting a weak and nervous smile from the girl, before Tayano leaped forward to the woman. "Okay, can do Yuki-chii!" She beamed, looking up excitedly at the woman. This was something that normally make her nervous, but since this would obviously be recorded, she needed to stay happy and in her character. "All right, you ready?!" The younger girl asked the fortune teller with a head tilt. She went on to sitting on the ground in a usual seated position. She was ready whenever she was. [OOC: XD don't you just adore the two? And I hope you don't mind playing as the Fortune Teller, I'll do her when Yuki gets her fortune told! ] 1000 words, made by akemi of btn |

Ready to Rock It was embarrassing that the old woman had tricked her into making a fool of herself - at least that's how Yuki perceived it. Ayano was giggling a bit about it, too. Still, she wasn't about to make a scene, and the other girl wasn't laughing hard or anything. Best to just roll with it, like she did with most things.
It looked like she was eager to give the fortune telling a go as well. Still, Yuki-chii? Ayano was such a child. Yuki smiled, though - it was cute. And she preferred given name anyway. She watched as the fortune teller looked over the younger girl. Looking closely, she realised that she was blind in her right eye, or at least hard of seeing. There was a white film covering it, though her left looked just fine.
"I match method to the person... you... I feel palmistry is the best path. Give me your hand." The old woman moved to grasp Ayano's left hand so she could have a closer look at it. She leaned in and scanned the lines, and ran her rough fingers over the skin slowly, occasionally feeling spots a little tightly. It took maybe 30 seconds before she finally spoke up.
"You... have the gift of youth. Much awaits you in the future, and little will be out of your reach. Fame, wealth, love... however, I sense something holding you back." The woman ran a finger over a line that seemed to split into two. "You are lying to yourself. These lines tell me your heart is split in two. You reveal one self, and hide the other. You become what other perceive, and drive yourself to be something you're not. This path will eventually hurt others, but most of all yourself. It ends badly." She tapped the end of one of the paths, which was very short.
"If you be truthful to yourself, however, your first future is more likely. Don't second-guess yourself - the heart knows what it wants... what it needs. Listen to it. Heed its advice. It won't steer you wrong." She finally released Ayano's hand. "You're a good kid. Just don't let it go to your head. Now... I believe it's your turn now." Yuki was startled slightly when she was put on the spot. She'd been listening in on what she'd been saying, wondering about what she meant. It certainly sounded impressive. "Ah, yes! Please tell me what you see, wise woman." She had yet to give them her name, so hopefully that was fine. Yuki put her faith in what the woman's eye saw, and what she had to say. | ► Sorry for the delay - I wasn't sure how best to do this! Hope grabbing her hand is fine. |
