@open ☾ first alexei thread Alexei honestly didn't do well with crowds, that had been a truth of his psyche even before the incident. There was a reason he often held back and let Soutarou handle being the 'front man' of their little duo. He was just naturally a soft-spoken and nervous person. Unfortunately the accident years ago simply enhanced that feature of his. Outside of the work he did as a music instructor, he was content to live his life alone at his flat. Even he realized this was unhealthy, but it took outside goading for him to really strive to overcome that habit. His therapist told him time and time again that he needed to cultivate a social life. That thought was in a way frightening to the man though, getting close to people meant opening up and - ... No, that wasn't something he looked forward to at all. But he promised to make the effort, at least. So it was with much hesitance that he embarked to the Snow Festival. The transit to the location was full of tension, his shoulders military-straight as he tried to locate a small corner of the train to ride in without touching too many other people. In the end it was a futile effort, but at least he managed to keep to himself somewhat. One hand wrapped around the bar above him, he kept his gaze downcast as he waited out the journey. Now and then he shifted his weight from one foot to the other in an attempt to push away some of the stiffness he felt from being around so many people, but nothing really helped. When they finally came to the festival grounds, he let out a low breath of relief. Filing out of the train with the crowd, he inhaled the fresh air and then let it out in a slow sigh. Really, public transit made him value his personal space that much more. Posture straightening, he tugged at his overcoat and pushed some bangs out of his face, absently preening himself. Even if he didn't like being out and about, he had to maintain a good appearance, right? Once he was sure he looked decent again after the mild jostling he received on the train, he moved to wander down the path in the direction of the first ice sculptures. His breath wafted upwards in lazy wisps due to the cold, and the chill breeze added a soft pink tinge to his pale cheeks. Beyond that though he wasn't exactly uncomfortable, having dressed warmly in a thick overcoat and undershirt and heavy slacks. His hair being tied back too helped it from getting too much in the way of his face. Hands buried into his pockets, he stepped up to one of the art pieces - a large bird carved from a huge block of ice, and considered it. "How graceful," He murmured to himself underneath his breath. the piano, it sounds like a carnival coded by K of AIP

The Sapporo Snow Festival. Why was he here, anyway? He wasn't exactly interested in these things. To him, they were just a means to an end. He didn't even want to be an idol. He just got stuck with the job because his idiot of a brother tried to audition for a talent agency when he didn't have any talents - other than sucking up - to begin with. As a result, Ryoma was the one that got stuck having to pretend that he actually liked talking to people when he really just wished that most of them would die.
Of course, it might have been that attitude that had gotten him into this in the first place. To be honest, he was about ninety percent sure that it was his attitude that had gotten the KiNGS manager to make him come here even though he constantly said that he never would.
Then again, Ryoma doubted that anyone had the guts to go up against Kutoba Kame unless they had some kind of dirt against her. Unfortunately, though, Ryoma had absolutely nothing that he could really use against her to get some lee-way every once in a while. Well, there was her apparent alcoholism but you couldn't exactly use that as blackmail material against someone who, at times, doesn't even try to hide their drunkenness. Honestly, if he hadn't already gotten used to her, Ryoma would be completely embarrassed by the fact that he even had any connection to her.
Of course, even if Kutoba wasn't around, Ryoma would still Hatake Takashi, the apparent leader of KiNGS. Of course, Ryoma liked to argue with the guy for the fun of it - even about the most pointless things. You couldn't really blame him, though. The KiNGS leader was quite sexy when angered - not that Ryoma ever actually tried making a habit of angering him. It was simply easy for Ryoma to piss people off without actually trying. You couldn't really blame him for that, now, could you?
Still, Ryoma had to wonder. What did Kutoba-san actually expect him to do? It was no secret that Ryoma was the furthest person away from being considered a social butterfly. So why would his manager send him here? Ryoma was no good at socializing. Sure, he could fake it rather well whenever the cameras came around but he was straight-up awful whenever the two had to be alone in a situation where there were no cameras recording his every move. It would be so simple to just leave and find some innocent bystander to take into his bed tonight...so, so simple. However, Ryoma didn't want to risk finding out what Kutoba would do if she were to find out about some of the things that have been happening since the last incident.
Ryoma sighed as he found himself walking toward the ice sculptures. He couldn't really remember if KiNGS was meant to perform today but he found himself not really caring. If they'd be performing, they could let him know through his cell phone so that they could perform with a minimal amount of flaws.
He softly spoke to himself, "I'm not getting paid enough for this..." MADE BY SIRIUS OF GANGNAM STYLE
