ESSENTIALS
PERSONALITY She's very pure-hearted and can be a bit naive. She goes out of her not to hurt others and will willingly put herself in harms way for the sake of someone else, regardless of who they are. She always wears a smile because she wants to appear as strong as she can even if she feels completely weak on the inside.
She can be pretty oblivious of the feelings of others, and of her own for that matter. She has a quick temper but rather than getting louder, she gets quieter. If her voice gets to a whisper you know she is very upset with you. She is the kind to avoid someone she has a problem with or if she is confused by them.
She has a hard time in situations that get her cornered. If she does get into such a situation she will strike out with words that she may or may not mean. If she says something wrong it takes her a bit to build up the courage to apologize and she will probably be bright red or completely pale.
Aika is very sociable, striking up a conversation relatively easily though if you say anything even slightly complimentary she will turn red. Her emotions are hard for her to hide so if she feels down, anyone would be able to tell except for her.
She has a hard time saying anything bad about anyone so she usually ends up referring to them as some kind of animal, it's an odd quirk of hers.
HISTORY She comes from a big family, her father and mother having 2 children before her and 2 after her. She has 3 brothers and an older sister. By the time she was in middle school her older siblings were already out of the house so she took on the role of the eldest to her two younger brothers. Despite the fact that the family barely scraps by, they have a very strong bond among them. Even her older siblings often visit and help out in anyway they can.
As a child, she often followed after her older siblings, not saying a word. In fact, she didn't really start speaking until she was 5 years old, and she made her first friend, Nagisa Chiyo. Up until then she preferred to point and give faces to get her point across. She was always seen carrying a stuffed bear around with her. This habit only stopped after they lost everything in an apartment fire when she was still young.
She doesn't remember much about the fire that destroyed everything she had considered home. She remembers hearing her older brother's voice calling out to her and waking up to smoke everywhere before she felt her brother's arms around her. She remembered calling out for her bear and being ignored. Next she remembered she was outside in her father's arms while her mother cradled her baby brother in her arms.
Aika remembered seeing Chiyo being carried away and calling out to get to her but her father wouldn't let her, not sure if the little girl would make it. Aika didn't speak for a short time after that and the family moved. Due to her insistence, her father looked up Chiyo's condition constantly and her whereabouts. So when Aika discovered that Chiyo was living close to her even though they had moved she was adamant about having fun with her friend.
By the end of elementary school she was talking happily and was even helping her mother cook, with her older sister watching over her like a hawk. It was around that time that Aika saw her first idol on TV. She loved the music and the lights. It mesmerized her, she told her sister that she wanted to be an idol too but her sister just laughed and pointed out it took her 5 years to talk, how long would it take for her to sing?
Aika started singing on her own after that, in her room when no one could hear her. In middle school she began to write her own songs, and even learned to play the guitar. She didn't want to be an idol anymore, preferring to simply express herself in the solitude of her room.
She had wanted to enter a talent show in high school, to overcome her fears but she couldn't bring herself to sign up but she cheered on Chiyo and attended the show and was blown away by her friends talent. She was proud of her friend but also wished she had had the courage to get up there herself.
It was then that she started uploading her songs onto the internet under the alias Crystallia. Her songs have become pretty popular over the web but she still can't build up the courage to say it's her songs. So for now, she posts them for her fans over the internet and ignores the talent scout emails sent to her.
APPEARANCE She's a bit on the tall side but not by much. She has a thin waist and has a B cup. She's on the thin side and her skin is completely blemish free, although she does sport a scar on her collarbone from roughhousing with her brothers. Her skin is pale and burns pretty easily so she usually has an umbrella with her just in case the sun gets a bit too harsh. She wears her light brown hair long, past her waist with layers just around her face. If she isn't wearing it down it's up in a ponytail. Her eyes a a friendly and light brown.

TALENTS & SKILLS She has a beautiful voice but she is attune to most musical outlets. She has learned to play many instruments and can usually be found playing one of them, humming under her breath. She's also very good at studies, able to retain information fairly easily.
