Ready to Rock Yuki strolled down the streets of Akihabara with a skip in her step. She'd gotten the message from AniMa Complex a few days ago, but now that it was the weekend, she had time to actually go and pick up her order. She'd also have time to browse and see if anything interesting was there, and probably have some lunch, too! She was going on her own, but a few of the girls at GEM247 knew that she'd be coming here. Still, she might have to cut her excursion short, since it looked like it was ready to rain, and in her excitement she'd forgotten her umbrella.
She wore simple clothes - a pale yellow t-shirt and a black skirt, with stockings almost all the way up her leg. She was going to stand out no matter what she did, but Yuki found it was best to just be casual. If you looked like you were trying to hide, people would seek you out. Although, it also helped that she shopped at somewhere innocuous rather than one of the larger stores. It looked a bit run down from the outside, but she'd found that the staff at AniMa Complex were friendly, knowledgeable and hadn't tried to make a big deal about her shopping there.
The door rang as Yuki entered the store, which was filled with anime and manga, as the name implied, but it also sold games - mostly visual novels and doujinsoft - figures, model kits and even tabletop games. The slightly too narrow aisles seemed to loom over the top of her as she couldn't help but skim what was there as she made her way to the front counter.
It looked like Akira was working today - tall and buxom, she didn't look like the kind of person to work here, but she was actually the assistant manager, and a big horror fan with a twisted sense of humour. "Hey, Aki-san, I'm here to pick up my copy of Space Battleship Yamato 2199." She looked up from her book and smiled. "Ahh, Miki, good to see you. I've got it just here." The woman stood up and began rummaging through a shelf that stood tall behind the counter.
She picked up the book that she'd left behind and tried to read the cover, but it was in English. She wasn't the best at the language, but she couldn't make out more than the first word. "Hey, what'cha readin' now? I can't understand this at all." Yuki asked, genuinely curious. Akira had good taste. "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. By H.P. Lovecraft. It's tough reading even for me, but it's best to read this stuff in its native language. I've got Japanese translations of his books if you're interested, though." She returned with the blu-ray she'd ordered, and Yuki handed over the 7,500 yen. "Oh, he created Cutoru, right? The series that Haiyore! Nyarko-san is based on?"
Akira gave a low chuckle. "Cthulhu. And yes, you're right. You should read the books. They're genuinely scary, and will help you pick up on all sorts of references. Anything else you need?" "Nah, I'm just going to browse a bit." Akira nodded, knowing that the girl liked to make her own discoveries. She went back to her book as Yuki started in the used section, hoping to find some rare gem that someone had sold to the store. | ► Don't feel obligated to match! |

Aime yawned, quite loudly. In her right hand, she held a small bag that currently only contained a wallet, but would soon be stuffed full with anime. Or so she hoped. Shopping should have been such a simple task, but between Aime's dyslexia and the fact that she had forgotten to bring glasses, she knew this would be a bumpy ride. "I'm here!" she announced out of habit as she pushed open the door to the AniMa Complex. Shuffling inside, the brunette young idol went straight for a shelf housing lots of anime DVDs. She found anime far better for her than manga; she had always prefered listening to reading, after all. "Let's see...I heard 'Sword Art Online' was very good. But how on earth will I manage to find it...?" That was another habit of Aime's--talking to herself. "And, do I really want to watch such a violent anime? Maybe I'd be better off with something cute, like 'Full Moon wo Sagashite'. Still, would this place even have an anime like that...?" Groaning in annoyance, Aime began her browse. She couldn't help but think that her search would be easier if she could actually read the titles of things properly. Briefly, the young idol considered asking for help, but she didn't know anyone here and going to the wrong person could be dangerous. That was when she remembered--earlier today, hadn't she overheard a fellow member of GEM247 say that they'd be coming here? A member that could read? Aime was willing to look and see if she recognized someone; for the life of her, she couldn't remember the name of the girl she'd been eavesdropping on (thought she was sure she would remember if she saw the person. Aime was the type that could match names to faces, but couldn't match faces to names, if that makes sense). Giggling in her delighted surprise, Aime set to work to find her fellow group member, or even a friendly employee if one was available. She was determined to get her anime, after all. "Excuse me...I could use a bit of assistance, please..." she called out softly, wandering through the aisles, hoping for a familar voice to answer. It was then she saw her; standing in a section of the store was someone Aime faintly recognized. She had only ever seen a few people with pink hair, and one of them was... "...Minase...san?"

Ready to Rock The door at the front rang as someone else entered the store, but that didn't concern her. Well, she would have probably looked out of reflex if a shelf wasn't blocking the way. It was good that they were getting customers, though. While she liked the place for being out of the way, Yuki knew very well that if it was too quiet, then it wasn't making money, and the last thing she wanted was for it to go out of business.
She could hear the other person muttering to themselves. Actually, herself. The girl couldn't hear what she was saying, but that definitely wasn't a guy's voice. It made sense - girls seemed to like this store a bit more because of Akira's presence, though they still didn't come close to the amount of guys who shopped here.
She continued to browse the stock until she heard the voice coming closer. This time she heard what was being said. Yuki looked up at the request for help, and recognised the other girl. She smiled broadly. "Seiko-san! Didn't expect to see you here!" Akira looked up from her book when she heard the two girls, but went back to it when it looked like they knew each other. Besides, Yuki was a regular - she ought to be able to help out her friend.
"I didn't know that you liked this stuff. Oh, speaking of, you wanted some help, didn't you? What with?" She knew how hard it could be to find something sometimes, and she didn't know if her fellow idol frequented places like this. If she didn't, then that'd make things even more difficult for her. Well, that's what she was there for! | ► Yay, post! Question: is she tall or short? Profile is unclear. Do others know she is dyslexic? |

((Hm...Aime's of average height, but maybe a little on the short side. Like, around 5'1". As for her dyslexia, she's not ashamed of it so if it comes up in conversation, she'll tell the other person all about it. She wouldn't just randomly say something, though. I don't know if Yuki is the kind of person who would ask about it...?))
Aime relaxed when she heard the older idol's greeting. She had been near positive her "savior" was friendly, but for all she knew that could have been a front. "I'm not a huge fan of manga, but..." Aime trailed off with a nervous chuckle. "Well, I was looking for an anime to watch. I thought I might try to find 'Full Moon wo Sagashite', but, um...I can't really read the titles on the DVD cases properly. So I thought, maybe Minase-san wouldn't mind searching with me..." When Aime said this out loud, she realized what she was asking; Yuki had probably been here browsing for a while, and here comes a fellow idol who tries to whisk her away from a place where she's happy to make her look for something she probably doesn't want. Although Aime had assumed her senpai wouldn't mind aiding her with a small task, she figured she should say something in case Yuki would rather remain here. "You don't have to, of course. I can go to the register and ask an employee for assistance. I figured it would be nice to go shopping with a more experienced idol, even if it were just for the sake of getting to know one another, but I'm perfectly fine with getting help from anyone!" The young idol finished off her statement with a broad grin, satisfied that she'd avoided guilting anyone into anything.

Ready to Rock It didn't take Yuki too long to remember what she meant by not being able to read the titles on the cases. That's right, she's... dyslexic, was it? She did her best to keep up with the other idols of GEM247, but it could be tricky sometimes, even with the amount of time they spend together. She only remembered this one because she remembered feeling sympathy for someone who wouldn't be able to read manga and light novels.
"No no no, it's not a problem at all!" Yuki assured Aime with a grin. "I'd love to go shopping for anime with you. As fun as it is doing so alone, it's better with someone else. We can talk about all of our favourite series, and what we'd like to see!" She didn't get to do this nearly as much as she'd like.
"OK, you were looking for... Full Moon wo Sagashita, right? I know it's a shoujo series, and about a girl who was dying, and... grrrr, it's on the tip of my tongue!" It frustrated her when she knew less than she thought she did."Mind describing the series to me while we look?"
Yuki set off to a different section of the store - a much smaller part that seemed a little out of the way. "Unfortunately, this store's not as good for girly stuff as the stores on Fujoshi Street, but there's still a decent selection compared to other places in Akihabara, especially for popular stuff." She looked over at Akira, who was still reading, but definitely paying attention to them. The woman might look inattentive, but there was a reason she was assistant manager. "And if it isn't here, the older woman over there will order it in for you."
The book slammed shut. "Don't call me that." She shot daggers at Yuki as the idol quickly looked away, with a cheeky smile on her face. "Fiiine~ fiiine~!" The girl looked back at Aime. "But seriously, Aki-san knows her stuff, and is really nice, so if you come back here on your own, don't be afraid to ask her questions." She seemed to be a bit mollified by the praise, and went back to her book. | ► Sorry for the delay! |

Inwardly, Aime let out a huge sigh of relief. While it was true she would have been fine with anyone, she didn't get to spend much time with her groupmates outside of practice and thought this would be a nice opportunity to get to know Yuki better. She smiled.
"Well, it's about a girl who has sarcoma but really wants to be a singer, and one day she meets these shinigami who tell her she has one year to live, and she makes a deal with one that if she agrees to die easily when her time comes, he'll help her fulfill her dream of becoming a singer. I think...maybe that's why I like it so much. The girl in this show--Mitsuki is her name--she, too, has a disability that prevents her from achieving her dream, but she works hard and she's able to do it!" Aime followed her statement with a wistful sigh and began following Yuki towards the shelves.
"I don't mind that it's difficult to find, actually. I watched the anime once when I rented it from a friend, and I loved it, so I'd like to buy it. I don't mind having to work hard to find it." She paused. "I like this store more than the others, even though this is my first time here. It's nice and small, and this Aki-san you mentioned seems fun. I think I'll go to her next time I come here. Hey, Minase-san, what's your favorite kind of anime? Or, do you prefer manga?" Aime asked suddenly, just now realizing how curious she was.

Ready to Rock Yuki paid close attention as the girl described the series to her. As she spoke, she remembered more about it - it was actually something that she wouldn't mind watching, especially now, given her career. Her propensity for illness, too, was also something relatable about the protagonist. Well, it wasn't like she had sarcoma, whatever that was, but it was something. "That sounds good... I might have to borrow that one off you later!"
The way Aime spoke about the series told her that it was something close to her heart. She could see the passion - Yuki would say it was built up over years of experience as an otaku. She also respected the desire to look for it. There was pleasure to be found in the search, and you could find other things as well. One of the advantages of a physical store.
"I'm sure she and the owner would be pleased to hear that." The girl said with a smile as she scanned the section for the requested series. Unfortunately she didn't know what the case for it looked like, so she had to read everything, and it seemed like someone had moved things around. That was annoying.
She was holding a copy of Gakuen Alice when Aime asked about what she liked. "Me? I like mecha series the best! They're just... they've got everything, plus giant robots! What's not to like?" Yuki certainly sounded enthusiastic about her chosen genre.
"They're more of an animated thing, but I love manga as well. I'd like to release my own doujin at Comiket someday, or even get published. Heh, or become a seiyuu." It was a dream of hers, really, and becoming an idol was a step on the journey to achieve it. "How about you? Mostly just shoujo stuff? Or... maybe you're secretly a fujoshi?" Yuki gave her a quick leer, putting on a mock judgemental face. "Hmmmm~?" She didn't care one way or the other - she was just having some fun with Aime.

((Ahaha, poor Aime, being teased. But for the record, mecha series are the best. ))Aime giggled, light and airy, holding her bag by her legs so she kicked it every time she took a step. "You should definitely give it a try! It's an amazing anime...and, it helps that Tanemura Arina is my favorite manga artist...I don't get to read her things very often, but I love the art style, and the animes they've made of her works are amazing."
Aime glanced over at Yuki and for the first time noticed how happy she looked in this store. She wished she could find that sort of happiness in a store one day; Aime liked to shop around, but she rarely visited the same shop twice. She would have to become a regular to this place herself. Maybe she could invite Yuki to go shopping with her again one day! She was certainly enjoying the chit-chat, and it was so much more fun to shop with another girl. She began taking boxes off the shelves, trying to see if she might recognize the case. She could ask Yuki to help her read it so she could be sure.
Her browsing was momentarily interrupted when Yuki answered her earlier question about her favorite genre. Aime grinned. "Oh, I like some mecha series! But for some reason, the kinds of animes I watch are relatively unknown. Have you ever heard of Asura Cryin'? It's a great show. I found it while shopping with my friend from school one day and it looked interesting. It's mecha, too. But, I watch some mainstream things too. I want to start Gundam soon." Aime paused, seeing how excited Yuki seemed. She must really enjoy her mecha anime--it made Aime happy to think she may have just suggested something Yuki had never heard of, and maybe her groupmate would end up really enjoying the series and they could talk about it.
She listened as Yuki explained her dream of releasing a doujinishi for sale or becoming a seiyuu. Aime turned towards Yuki, her eyes sparkling in excitement, and slapped her hands on Yuki's shoulders. "That's a great goal to work towards!" she declared. "I promise, if you ever publish a doujinshi or become a seiyuu, I'll buy a copy of your work and listen to your animes a hundred times! I'll be your number one fan, Minase-san! So don't ever give up on that dream, OK?"
Aime opened her mouth to explain her interests, but paused when she heard the term "fujoshi". The young brunette let out a loud yelp and scurried backwards a bit, her face bright red and her arms crossed over her chest as a sort of shock-induced reflex. "N-No, Minase-san, I...I-I swear I'm not that kind of person...! I-I actually find such things quite disgusting, um..." She cleared her throat and forced herself to calm down. "W-Well...I like shoujo the best, but I'm really a fan of all generes...except yaoi or yuri, which I think is a little strange...and ecchi animes are quite strange too...but other than that, I like them all!"

Ready to Rock Yuki nodded as the girl encouraged her to give the series a go. "I'll have to look into her other things as well. After Full Moon, anyway!" Always try to treat other people's pet series with respect, especially if you hadn't seen them before. You never know what's going to end up being good, and you wouldn't want them to trash your series, either.
At the mention of Asura Cryin', Yuki nodded. "Yeah, I've heard of it, but I haven't seen or read it. So many things, y'know? I'll see if I can move it up The List, though. I'm more than willing to help set you up with Mobile Suit Gundam, though! Me and my dad have so much stuff from that! You'll have to-" The girl stopped, and laughed. "Sorry, I'm getting side-tracked. I'm supposed to help you find what you're looking for, not convert someone to Zeon."
The hands of encouragement on her back made her feel happy about telling Aime her dreams. "Haha, no way I'm gonna abandon my dream! How about you? Happy with being an idol, or do you want something else, or something more?" Many girls dreamed about being an idol, after all. It hadn't actually been her goal, but fortune and fate conspired to give her this opportunity, and she wasn't going to walk away from it. Fame had its problems, but it also had its perks, too.
The reaction she got out of the girl was worth the mild teasing. Yuki laughed at the yelp and the scamper as her friend quickly tried to distance herself from those fans. "Haha, no love for forbidden love? There's nothing wrong with it~!" She thought about describing some salacious act, or even pretending to flirt, but that'd be going a bit far. Maybe when they were closer and she knew her boundaries a bit more... speaking of... "By the way, my first name's just fine. I'm not big on all this 'proper conduct' and 'formality' stuff. How about it, Aime-chan?" She asked, testing out her name. Besides, they were in the same group - surely that was reason enough to be close.
As she was saying this, her eyes fell upon something promising. "Oh, is this it?" Yuki bent down and pulled out a DVD case of the first volume of Full Moon wo Sagashite. She held it out in front of the other girl so she could see the cover. "It doesn't seem like they have the rest, or blu-rays, but you can order that stuff in." | ► You're fine with length |

Aime smiled again, content that Yuki had agreed to give her personal favorite artist a go. She loved being able to talk to other girls about similar interests, and the more same kinds of things they liked, the more they could talk about it--which, of course, meant that Aime absolutely had to watch Mobile Suit Gundam. She liked the concept anyways, but now that she realized how big of a fan Yuki was, she wanted to watch it even more. "Ah, yes...! That'd be great! Maybe we could even get together on an off day and watch a whole marathon together~..."
Aime paused to think about what she'd said; perhaps she was being a bit too friendly? After all, this trip was the first real interaction the two girls had had since joining the company, and she was already inviting Yuki to her house, or worse--inviting herself to Yuki's house. That simply wouldn't work. But, Aime relaxed. If she had somehow offended Yuki, she felt sure the other girl would let her know, and then Aime would know not to try something again. She went back to her browsing in time to be asked about her dream. "Well...ever since I first started listening to music, I knew I wanted to be a singer. And the more I paid attention to the idol lifestyle, the more appealing it seemed. Since I can't read, I was skeptical at first, but I learned to memorize lyrics by ear and I hoped that would be good enough. You could say that one day, I hope to retire and become a simple singer, without the glitz and glam of a full-on idol career, or you could say that I'm perfectly happy with what I do now. Either way would be correct..." Aime wondered if Yuki was as happy with her idol life as she was. Of course she looked happy, since Aime was quite positive that any teenage girl would be excited to be performing on stage, but maybe there was a part of her that missed her life before becoming an idol. "What about you, Minase-san? Are you happy as an idol, or is it just like a stepping stone to your real dream? Just...something along the road to where you want to end up?"
Yuki's prompting made Aime wonder if perhaps it was her group member that was the fujoshi, but she didn't feel the need to ask. It could make Yuki feel just as awkward as Aime did, but considering Yuki's reaction to Aime's reaction, it probably wouldn't matter either way. She was about to say something about the "forbidden love" comment when Yuki announced that she would be fine with being called "Yuki". Aime felt herself grinning even wider. This meant that they were a step closer to friendship, didn't it? "If you're sure, then I guess I'll call you Yuki-chan from now on! Ah...of course, you can feel free to call me 'Aime', too!"
The young brunette glanced down at the case Yuki had pulled off the shelf and made a sort of squealing sound in delight. "That's it! That's the one!" she cried excitedly. "I'll put in an order for the other seasons, and next time I drop by I can pick them up. Thank you, thank you so much for helping me find it...!" It might have seemed a tad over-the-top for Aime to be so ecstatic, but this series was one that was close to her heart. She was sure any otaku would act the same way when they found a series they really loved. "Well, I guess I'll go purchase this, then...did you have something you were looking for, too?"

Ready to Rock Yuki smiled and even gave a slightly sinister laugh at the girl's suggestion for a marathon. "Sounds like a plan to me! Now that you've said it, you can't back out. Once you get me going, I'm not gonna stop!" She was really looking forward to having a Gundam marathon. It wouldn't stop at the original series, either - there were the sequels, OVAs and movies, and then there were the other Gundam series, too.
It seemed like Aime was happy with her life as an idol. That was good to hear - Yuki could easily imagine the turmoil within someone unhappy with the life, but forced to adopt a fake persona in public. Thankfully, that wasn't the case with her. "I kind of became an idol due to whim and chance~!" She gestured the the sides as she said this. "Sure, at first it was a stepping stone, but I've grown to really enjoy this life - lack of free time excluded, of course. If I didn't like being an idol, I doubt I'd be where I am today for one reason or another."
Thankfully Aime was on board with being called by her name. A lot of people preferred the distance, and first names with fans, while not forbidden, brought with it issues. And with the anime she was searching for found, all was well! He reaction was definitely the correct one... or at least one Yuki might have made in a similar situation. "I've already bought what I was here for." The older girl said, holding up her copy of theYamato remake. "I was just browsing to see if there was anything else I might want." | ► Sorry for the delay! |

((Well, now I've made you wait too, so I guess we're even~. Sorry about this! I've really had no computer time lately.))
Aime started to doubt her suggestion to have a marathon, but she had already said something, so Yuki was right--there was no backing out now. Besides, staying up all night watching hours and hours of anime...that was what teenaged girls did, right? Aime thought it would be a good idea to act like a real girl every once in a while, so she didn't get resentful. So she grinned. "Right! I hope I'm not imposing, but we'll probably have to meet at your house, since you have the series...right? Ah, I could always get it too, and then we could watch it at my house, or if you wanted to bring the series over...I'm pretty flexible."
Aime smiled when she heard Yuki say she enjoyed her idol life. It would certainly be chaotic to have to be an idol even though you don't want to be, and Aime thought perhaps her new friend was getting restless with the idol life. But as long as they both enjoyed their singing and dancing, they could perform on stage together.
The brunette worried that maybe she was blowing things out of proportion; but the truth was, she had really enjoyed her time shopping with Yuki and the fact that they were on a first-name basis now only fed Aime's idea that they were doomed to be best friends forever. And even though that was probably a lonely girl's fantasy, Aime supported it with all her soul. "I'm glad that Yuki-chan enjoys her idol life, because that means we can perform onstage together for a really long time! That'll be fun, right?" Aime rocked from heel-to-toe, something she tended to do when she was excited to burn off extra energy.
Lifting her bag, the dyslexic idol giggled enthusiastically and nodded. "That looks really interesting, Yuki-chan~. You'll have to tell me all about it once you finish it. If I like the plot, I might even try to read it myself!" Adding another giggle for good measure, Aime veeeery sloooowly started towards the check-out. Part of her wanted to wait and see if Yuki would follow; they could squeeze as much conversation out of this impromptu trip as possible. But Aime's (very small) logical side knew that both of them probably had places to be after this, so it would be smart to just do what they came here for and then leave. Still, Aime glanced over her shoulder more than once just to check. She had to say goodbye if Yuki didn't follow, after all.

Ready to Rock Yuki nodded. "Right! I've got pretty much everything! We've got a pretty good TV, too." Well, technically they were her dad's, but they might as well have been hers as well. Besides, he was Feddie scum, so it didn't matter. "I'll just have to get permission from my grandmother, though. She's... well, she's strict, and wants to know everything. She'll probably say yes, though, since you're a girl, and a colleague, too." She was really old fashioned. As if boys and girls couldn't be friends.
It seemed like Aime was particularly happy that she was happy with her life. "Haha, yep! It's not something I'm going to do forever, but I don't see myself stopping any time soon." It was fun being an idol, even if there was a lot of work, and it left her feeling stressed due to having to try and balance education with practice and performances and her own free time. She had money to buy anime and model kits and other things, but now it was time that was in short supply.
Yuki giggled at her friend's little mistake. "Watch, not read~! And this is a remake of a really old series. So far this new version's been really good. They've even got the original opening!" She started walking with Aime to the front counter, not even considering the idea of leaving her behind. The girl skimmed the aisles next to her as she walked in hope of finding something cool.
She quickly continued the conversation as they walked. "So, you said you liked shoujo, right? What other ones did you like? I enjoyed Skip Beat! and Ouran High... oh, and all the Magical Girl stuff... although I suppose Nanoha doesn't count as shoujo, does it?" That one was her favourite magical girl series, and it was more oriented towards guys. Still, she liked the classic ones like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura as well. Yuki suddenly laughed "Haha, I remember when we were asked in school what we wanted to become later in life, and I wrote down 'Magical Girl'. Ever do anything silly like that?" Truth be told, it was still something she wanted to be, but she was older now and understood that that just wasn't something that'd happen. | ► When I grow up, I want to be a magical girl!

Aime grinned. "I'm really glad you seem so excited, Yuki-chan~! As long as your grandmother understands, we'll go into it with 120% energy! Full throttle, Yuki-chan! Full throttle!" She added a fist pump for good measure. After all, if you're talking about something like Gundam, it's best to really get into it. Unless you're truly excited, you'll never make it past one season. Aime had a younger brother who had once tried to sit down and watch an anime she enjoyed with her, but he had fallen asleep after the thirteenth episode. That was only halfway trough the series. That'd never do. Aime nodded at Yuki's statement. Aime herself was pretty enthusiastic about idol work, and Yuki seemed happy to do it too. Aime wondered if Yuki sometimes found it hard to balance family and school with your work as an idol; she knew she did. But what mattered was that they enjoyed the idol life, and Aime was 300% positive that the second Yuki retired to become a seiyuu or mangaka like she dreamed of doing, Aime would ignore everything for the sake of watching things she'd voiced in or reading things she'd written. She thought that maybe it would be a little difficult to continue being an idol and keep up with everything she'd promised to do, but if it was for her friends and family, it was worth it, so Aime often asserted. Maybe she'd retire before Yuki to become a singer, and then she'd have a lot more time. All that would happen in time. Aime stopped walking for a moment. "Watch...ah...! It's an anime too, then! I just sorta assumed that you would be here for a manga, but I guess that was a little silly of me, huh? I should have also considered the fact that you like anime as well...well, then I'll definitely have to watch it! Maybe I'll start with the old series and watch the remake later..." She started walking again, glancing over her shoulder to see Yuki following. She grinned. Aime thought about it. "Hmm...I, too, have always loved the Magical Girl genre. I liked PreCure!, and Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, and OHSHC was cute~. I've always shipped Haruhi and Tamaki, which I guess is good since they're the most canon ship...I'm a pretty enthusiastic ship-er, honestly~..." That was one of Aime's biggest flaws when watching anime--she always found one ship she adored more than anything else and then went on a huge fangirl spasm whenever something happened that even moderately confirmed her ship of choice. "Plus, all the Clamp stuff was really good, and I've always adored idol anime, like The iDOLM@STER. Its spin-off series were pretty good too~. But, I should probably stop there before I go off on a huge rant about how much the characters changed, and how much I loved that series even though it was totally different, and how I wish I knew more fans..." Aime let out a wistful sigh. She didn't know if Yuki liked The iDOLM@STER, or its spin-offs Puchim@s! and Idolmaster: Xenoglossia, but the collective grouping was somewhere around number 3 on Aime's list of Super-Awesome Top Favorite Anime. Maybe after they finished Gundam, Aime could kidnap Yuki to her house and they could watch the iDOLM@STER series together."You wanted to be a magical girl?" Aime laughed back. "Oh, that's so cute, Yuki-chan~! To be honest, when I was younger I wanted to be a goddess when I grew up, but I never wrote about it...ah, but this one time, we were doing a project in school about writing about someone we admired, and I wrote about Mint from Tokyo Mew Mew. My teacher gave me an odd look when I turned it in, but wouldn't you just love to be dainty and sophisticated like Mint? Plus, I love her abilities as the Lorikeet. I just think it's cool to be able to fly and things like that..." Aime stopped, partially because she was almost at the counter and partially because if she didn't stop now, she'd be ranting for days. Aime was a ranter about everything, after all.((OK, so how did I just realize Aime's a lot like me? XD I think I subconsciously did that on purpose. Anyway, I'm really sorry for the wait! I haven't had computer time in a while and my mom has my 3DS again. I'll try to get on more often! Oh yeah, and don't bother clicking on the links in this message. There are none. My computer is convinced that there are.))

Ready to Rock Aime certainly knew how to be passionate about something. Full throttle indeed! Yuki was all the way with her in this attitude. She nodded twice strongly, satisfied with her response. There wouldn't be any problems from her grandmother. Her dad would probably want to talk with her friend a bit if he was home, but that wasn't a problem. He'd probably just want to know what she likes.
It didn't look like she was too embarrassed by her mistake. She kinda hoped to get a little blush out of her like before, but oh well. At least she didn't embarrass easy. "Haha, no, just anime today. I probably watch more anime than read manga. Something about getting to see everything come to life in front of you. Problem is that they tend to half-ass adaptations, and the past years have overdosed on moecrap." Never mind the fact that she was in the business of selling it herself. "Nothing wrong with some, but there's only so much you can take."
She nodded as she listened to what Aime liked. CLAMP was another group she really liked. She also enjoyed PreCure, although hadn't seen Mermaid Melody. "Bah, if you're passionate about a pairing, it doesn't matter if it's canon or not. It's what's in your heart that matters." Yuki said, expressing her views on the matter. She wasn't a big shipper herself, but if she did find a couple she liked the idea of, canon be damned. "I haven't actually seen iDOLM@STER, though. I just never got around to it... I suppose the fact that it's everywhere made me uninterested. Still, if you say it's good, I'll give it a go. Maybe one of the games, too. It'll be interesting to watch from an idol's perspective, though!" Skip Beat was a little like that, but that was more the acting side rather than singing.
Yuki laughed a little when her friend said she wanted to be a goddess. That was certainly interesting. "I don't think I heard of anyone who wanted to be that before." There were many different kinds, so she wondered what sort she'd prefer. A small, local one, or something more powerful, like one of the Greek ones. "Plus, Mint's rich! Asides from being able to fly, you'd be able to buy all the anime you want!" Never would you have to deal with the one that got away. With price no longer an issue, you could add anything to your collection!
They reached the counter, and Akira set down her book. "Ahh, Miki, back again? And... Seiko-san, was it?" Evidently she remembered when she said her name earlier. "Welcome to AniMa Complex. If there's anything I can help you with, please let me know." She even bowed as she said this. "Haha, so professional~! Want to look good for new customers, huh?" Akira just ignored her. She could play games with Yuki later.
| ► That's OK! Yuki shares some things n common with me, but I decided it was OK, since I haven't played this before. |
