You don't get much time to shine as an idol, so enjoy it while you still can! Always stay hungry, but know that everything comes to an end. It's the idol who evolves that remains relevant when the stage lights dim.

PERSONALITY During her time as an idol Hikari was well known for being bubbly and upbeat all the time. She would act sort of airheaded, though it was all part of an act. In front of the cameras and fans she was always the happy idol who could get even the most stubborn person's foot tapping with her singing. For the final three years of her tenure she was promoted to leader of the group and helped groom the new soloist. It was during her time with Afternoon Delight that the group was in the last of its glory days, alone atop the idol singer world.
When she reached 20 she simply had grown tired of the restrictions placed on her by the conventions of the idol world. She nearly went public with her complaints but was talked into bowing out quietly by her manager. Her official reason for stepping down was to pursue an acting career, which in her defense she did. Rumors abound that she's likely to get married any day now since she's 25. In truth she couldn't care less about the dreaded 'Christmas Cake' age, and prefers to take things slow and at her discretion. In a few interviews she's made off the cuff remarks about being an idol, without outright saying what she has problems with. Her comments on why Afternoon Delight hasn't been as dominant lately attracted notice, and rumors also suggest a lot of fans would like to see her as the group's manager at some point. TALENTS & SKILLS Being a former idol, Hikari is a very gifted singer and dancer; though some would say these have slipped in the past 5 years. Others think she's better suited for music other than conventional J-Pop. She's also blossomed into a gifted actress, capable of crying on spot one minute and laughing about a mistake the next. Her vocal range for voice acting is expansive enough that she's not yet been pigeonholed as one set character type. Other than job related skills, she's a terror at the karaoke booth as she's memorized a lot of songs both old and new.
