So, I know it feels like I just got back from vacation, but now I've been grounded (sorta). My mom has confiscated my laptop and my 3DS, the two tools I use to reply here with. I'll try to get on the computer as often as possible to catch up, but I have no idea how long my mom will have my stuff, and she might not let me on the computer anyways, so...
In short, I'm gonna be very off-and-on these next couple of *insert some amount of time here*. Sorry...

Never understood why so many parents seem to think this is an appropriate punishment. I think it's excessive  . I'm going to assume test scores, and really, that's no way to improve performance. But seriously, hope you're able to get back properly soon! |

It's a tool of motivation or something. My mom is convinced that if she steals my electronics, I'll focus on school. Which is more or less true, to an extent, sometimes. I don't focus on school because it's annoying. XD Anyways. I think I'll be able to grab a 1-2 hour window in the early morning depending on how early I wake up, problem is that no one is ever on at 8am EST. XD But thanks anyways.  |

So guess who just got her laptop back? Me! Guess whose laptop has PARENTAL CONTROLS now? Mine!
Which means I'll be able to respond only ever-so-slightly more now. Whenever I finish my whatever-must-be-done-today list, my mom will unlock the forum and I'll drop by and fire back a response faster than you can say "I like trains!"
That, or I can just learn my mom's password and uinlock it myself. XD
But anyways, just thought you guys deserved a status update.

That's the best part--this IS my own laptop! XD And by "my laptop", I of course mean "the laptop my parents are letting me use for school and absolutely nothing else, not even Wikipedia, oh, and by the way, they're monitoring everything I do".
I'm still gonna keep trying, though. I might have to start responding on my 3DS, which I usually only do if it's a short thing.

I don't understand parents sometimes...  . Where's the trust, and being a child? Anyway, if you're forced to use your 3DS and it's tough, feel free to post segments of your post, and edit in the rest later. Not sure if it works for you, but I sometimes did that when I wanted to quickly type something at Uni, and didn't have time to finish. |
