FRIENDLY
Hotaru doesn't certainly have a shortage of friends. Then again, he counts anyone who puts up with his many faults and issues to be among his friends. His view on the matter is somewhat warped, as he often considers the idols to be his friends as well. Needless to say, most people would fall into this category. He's actively searching for people to befriend to serve as potential contacts. He hopes to get a number of people together that will immediately contact him with any information they stumble across. And friends will do that for free! He was a very active child growing up, dipping his finger into all kinds of extracurricular activities. He was born and raised in Tokyo, so it's very much possible for him to have some childhood friends in the area. He would have very likely tried to contact them when he returned to Tokyo after losing his job at the station.
FOELY
In all honesty, Hotaru is too wrapped up in his little world to really have people he considers to be his enemies. The only person who would really fall under this category would be his one-sided rival. The Gossip Goddess. Any other members of the media would likely go under this category as well, considering they're all fighting for the same spot. But it would never really occur to him to refer to such people as 'enemies'.
LOVELY
Abandon hope ye who enter here. Any man with a preoccupied one track mind is doomed in any relationship he pursues. He's a nice guy, but is also rather desperate. Any woman that shows interest him will be showered with affection. However, his current obsession dream will always take priority in his life. He could love the woman with all his heart, but she would always take a back seat to his 'work'. Unless for some reason SHE became his obsession. Which likely wouldn't be good for anyone involved. Then again, I don't know. I honestly can't predict what would happen here.
IDEALLY
I WANT TO PLOT WITH EVERYBODY.
But more specifically, I would I'm interested in plotting with the idols, obviously. Hotaru may be a bit of a derp, but he's a downright clever one. He's got all kinds of schemes and plans on how to get stories and info on the stars. Note that he WILL be going through your garbage. I especially want to plot with members of sheeP. He was the weatherman in their hometown for a while, so he likely went to promote some of their fundraisers. Some 'on the field weather reports'. They're a large part of what got him so hyped for the idol scene. Granted they probably wouldn't recognize him, they're his favorite group nonetheless.
Want him to stalk your idol? (legally, of course) Want to catch him digging through their garbage? Want him to tackle them on the street and try to interview them? Want him to employ one of his many tricks on you and/or your group? Trust me, it can be arranged.
