ESSENTIALS
PERSONALITY Lambourne has spent years shaping his personality to fit the people around him, to get people to like him. He has many different sides, depending whether he's at work or at play. In the industry, he's overconfident and flamboyant. He knows he's the best, and he flaunts himself and those around him. He's superficial, and can fake it until he makes it, become aquaninstences with anyone he deems a worthy contact. In his writing, he's the reader's best friend. That sassy gay guy you see in movies and on TV. Lammie is a gossip, excessively charming and humorous, as readers need a fun person to connect to when hearing about their idols latest news!
When you meet him however, you realize he is all of these things, but not wrapped up in such a one-dimensional package. He's excitable, affectionate, over-friendly, and ambitious. He really is charming, but not in such a cheesy media-personality way. He tries to treat the idols like real people, and cares for their problems. Just because you're rich and famous doesn't mean you're less of a person, after all. Persistent and energetic to get the latest scoop, yet thoughtful and understanding when something goes wrong in a meet. Lammie is a warmhearted person, even if sometimes he can come off as a cold bitch.
He does have his party-slut tendencies from highschool however. He's flirty and compulsive, don't even him started at the bar. He's rude and sarcastic when the claws need to be out, he knows when the gossip needs to stop. Sassy with a silver tounge, he's quick witted with insults. He'll throw down if you mess with his friends. In the daylight, he's vain and pompous when it comes to his appearance. He needs to look good, after all, he might not be an idol but he is a popular personality!
Lammie is serious about his business. To be a writer, you need to be optimistic about your goals. He's communicative and sociable, to make those contacts he so desperately needs. Creative with certain approaches, and a bit hypocritical when it comes to being on time. If an idol shows up late? God, how dare they! If he shows up late? Eh, no big deal! Lambourne has developed quite a few angles to how to approach people with his personalities, he knows how to shape himself, but he is good spirited even with his plentiful flaws. Which side will you see?
HISTORY He was an only child, used to being spoiled with attention from a young age. His parents were both boring average business people, his mother surprisingly more successful than his father which lead to his father not-so-secretly resenting her. Especially after his mother's promotion that sent her to have several trips to Japan, some of which she even took Lambourne along! When he was in middle school, his parents were fighting about work all the time. Unfortunately, it had reached a climax when he was just starting highschool, and Lammie coming out of the closet was the last straw. Well, he didn't really "come out" of the closet, more of he fucking kicked the door down and came out with a parade out of that closet.
Needless to say, it was a big deal, and it was obvious. His father hated him, and was jealous of her, and eventually filed for divorce. Lammie and his mother packed up and moved to her office's branch in Japan, Lammie of course instead going to highschool there. Deciding it was time for a change, he dyed his hair blonde and got a few piercings. He became the very definition of acting out. He wanted attention, he wanted people to notice him, he wanted to be popular. He was, but for the wrong reasons. Lammie was fake around the girls, flaunting his style to gain compliments, as they talked about how cute the boys were. To the boys, he was a nuisance, an annoyance, too flirty, a slut. He had trouble actually being real with people, to talk about serious things about futures or feelings, everything was a sassy statement or a joke.
He grew depressed, even if he wouldn't show it. He wanted people to really like him for him, not the stereotype he was producing. The blonde tried to seriously find a boyfriend, but he seemed to always fall for the straight guys. Obsessively priming his appearance, he thought if he was pretty like a girl more guys would notice him. He struggled with eating disorders, and it was only made worse when the jocks pretended to lead him on as a joke.
After graduation, he went far away to school for journalism with a minor in fashion. Tokyo, Japan, the city of bright lights and brighter stars. He made connections easily, mixing his old personality with a more honest new one. He was good at what he did, and eventually his teachers gave him a few jobs and amped up his name. Lambourne Halliday, who in media wouldn't like a fashionable gorgeous blonde gay guy? He was sold, the companies ate up his image as they knew it was consumer-friendly. Lammie got a job at POP★TIGER magazine, a magazine enjoyed mostly by preteens to teenagers looking for news about their favorite idols. He has also worked at Style and Vouge, has a very successful blog, and hundreds of thousands of followers on twitter and instagram.
Lammie loves his job, but sometimes he forgets to take care of himself and falls into his old habits. Sometimes he'll get dizzy because the only thing he's had to eat that day wasn't food at all, but a Starbucks latte. Sometimes he'll get sick or feel faint from his lack of nutrition. But he puts on a happy face, after all, can't concern others with stuff like that!
APPEARANCE Most things about Lammie are superficial, artificial, or a little too noticeable. The young man is extremely concerned with his appearance. He's been dying his hair blonde since highschool, and he's known for being ridiculously skinny. Like, starving-model skinny. Being 5'7" and 122lbs, he's thin everywhere you look at him, but not exactly long enough to be considered lanky. He even has a thigh gap, which becomes even more noticeable because of his love for skinny jeans. With the hair, the frame, and the designer-brand fashion sense, people question if his hazel eyes could perhaps just be contacts made to better his appearance. He is however, beautiful, from years of work. The best lotions have made his skin silky smooth, not to mention hair products galore to make him shine. Lammie loves to look great, and doesn't believe in having "lazy days" when it comes to his appearance.
OTHER FEATURES No tattoos, as he wouldn't want to "stain his beautiful skin", but he has quite a few piercings. He has his left ear pierced in three different places, the right in two. The blonde also even had his bellybutton pierced in his young drunk escapades. He's partial to accessories; bracelets, rings, bags, whatever can be used to further amp up his outfit of the day.
