hazuki kajiwara help, i'm alive, my heart keeps beating like a hammer general info
personality Serene, sweet-tempered, and kind, Hazuki is a very romantic person. She used to be very shy and quiet, and traces of that quiet disposition remain; Hazuki often lets others lead conversations unless she is specifically asked about something. Amongst friends she is much more at ease, but is still more of a listener than a speaker. Hazuki has a tendency to be more polite than what is usually expected in certain situations. Because she wants to be liked by everyone, she tends to let people walk over her -- if she's ever in a fight, she'd rather give in than arguing further, even if she still believes the other is wrong. Sometimes she is berated for her inability to stand up for herself, but in tense situations Hazuki is often at a literal loss for words and tries to get out of these moments as fast as she can. That's not to say that she can't hold a grudge, though, and while she may not be outright mean to people, she can be very passive-aggressive. Not wanting to trouble others, she tries her best to suppress negative emotions in front of others. She is very much a "good girl" and usually does what she is told to do (within reason). If she refuses to do what another tells her to, begging may work eventually; Hazuki is a big pushover. There have been tiny steps to improve her passive behaviour, but she is always hindered by her desire to keep a sense of peace, no matter what. She values honesty and dislikes lying, and is therefore trustworthy and reliable. Hazuki is dedicated to her relationships and everything she does, and tries to please everyone while trying to keep herself happy, too. She tries to make the most of whatever happens, and is able to see the upside to everything. biography Hazuki grew up in a house in Shinjuku. She was the youngest child in her family, having a brother five years her elder named Takeshi. Her mother was a doctor and her father worked as both a paramedic and firefighter. Since her parents were often at work for most of the day (and sometimes the night) for most of the week, a lot of her upbringing was done by her grandmother, Fumiko. Hazuki's mother was very serious about her work, and while she left work to raise Takeshi, she decided that she would return to the workforce relatively soon after Hazuki was born. Instead of having the blunt, strong will of her parents and brother, she inherited a gentler mindset from her grandmother. Growing up, Hazuki's grandmother told her traditional stories when her parents couldn't. She always loved watching anime and looking at manga so she drew constantly, and started practising calligraphy and sumi-e under the Fumiko's tutelage. Her love of tea started with her grandmother preparing tea whilst telling her stories about tea ceremonies. Even her taste in music was influenced a lot from her grandmother; even though idol music was inescapable, Hazuki loved enka. She still did have fond memories with her parents and brother, but a lot of her childhood memories involved her grandmother. At school, she was liked well enough and had friends, but was teased for being overweight. She was always self-conscious, but her classmates made it worse. It wasn't as bad in elementary school as it was in high school, when many girls grew more and more concerned about their appearance. She felt awkward when conversations turned to weight or fashion or makeup. Hazuki couldn't always wear the same clothes the others wore, and she would rather spend her money on nice art supplies or merchandise relating to anime or manga. Eventually she was able to do basic makeup and even attach fake eyelashes, but she could hardly get her figure down to look like most of the girls that not only surrounded her in real life, but also in magazines and illustrations and...everywhere. She liked them all, but she couldn't always find someone who has a similar body type as she did as easily as the others. Even though there were a few people like here, the overexposure of the others only did more to damage her self-esteem. Her entire family would say that she was too fat sometimes as well. Even if a comment was meant to be harmless, it still hurt, though she tried hard not to show it. As she grew through high school, she also grew more accepting of her appearance, though she still struggled with her looks. Once on an outing to Akihabara, she happened to pass by a maid cafe. Hazuki stood outside and observed curiously through the window. Most of the girls dressed in the frilly uniforms were slim, but there were a few odd thicker girls. Some girls were pretty tall, too. All of them were cute. Not wanting to be awkward about it, Hazuki walked away from the window quickly, but she couldn't stop thinking about it. She knew she was still too young, but she knew she wanted to work in a place like that eventually. Hazuki knew she needed a job, anyway, since she knew her parents wouldn't agree to paying for entire post-secondary education if she was going to study art...or anything that wasn't related to the medical field. During her last year of high school, she started working at normal cafe. It was there that she started to learn latte art, and the experience gave her an advantage when she applied to a maid cafe called Cafe❤Kokoro the next year, when she was eighteen. Hazuki was nervous about her appearance again, thinking that maybe she should just go somewhere else, but when they contacted her for an interview, she was happy that the photos she sent were acceptable. The owner said that her dimples were charming and that her eyes were nice as well, and she also mentioned that Hazuki was very cute and that her personality was suitable for their establishment. In this environment, being chubby was seen as something that was actually positive, they would always get her a proper-fitting uniform, and she would be just as cute as her co-workers, though everyone had their own personal traits and charm. Her previous work experience and art skill worked out well for her too, as she was able to catch onto the sweets decoration very quickly. After learning the basics at work, Hazuki began to put more of her own spin to the food she decorated, incorporating things other than what she learnt in training. She could write elegantly in chocolate sauce, illustrate characters in lattes, and arrange sweets with her customer's favourite colours. Her decorating skill became well-known, and Hazuki rose to one of the most requested maids in the cafe. Hazuki also assisted with some of the illustrations used in decorations and merchandise. Since she left high school, her confidence began to rise. Hazuki started hanging around Harajuku often, dressing in alternative fashion on weekends -- she discovered mori kei and loved that she could easily find clothing that fit well and looked nice. She enjoys her work so much that she wouldn't mind saving even more money than she initially planned for, and looks to travel sometime in the future. Hazuki still isn't completely sure about what exactly she wants to study in school, but she knows she'll eventually graduate from the maid cafe and go back to school someday. | ooc info ☆ NAME Matcha ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Rhiannon Desai, Rinko Shiraishi, Ririka Morinaka ☆ FACE CLAIM Original ☆ VOICE CLAIM [a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5MDUso4RYo"]Rika Ishikawa[/a], MORNING MUSUME ● hazuki kajiwara THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO MATCHA.
