EMIL KUROSAWA
DON'T STAND AT MY GRAVE AND CRY. I AM NOT THERE, I DID NOT DIE. I AM THE SWIFT RUSH OF BIRDS IN FLIGHT. SOFT STARS THAT SHINE AT NIGHT. I AM A THOUSAND WINDS. I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW. I AM THE DIAMOND GLINT ON SNOW. I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW.

ESSENTIALS
PERSONALITY Though his emotionless expression implies that he is incapable of feeling, the truth is quite the opposite. Quick-witted and rather blunt, Emil surprises many with his colorful and quite sassy way of speaking. To make his personality even more unbearable, the photographer is also very easy going and lazy. His apathetic view on what others think of him does not help his case either.
As rude as he can be at times, he does have his good traits. Being the oldest child in family of eight, Emil naturally gained the tendency to tease others. Of course, he does not do so with the intent of hurting others, but simply in his own older brotherly way of showing affection. This is further seen by the way he easily catches onto the emotions of those around him. While he will not care and will continue to tease for the most part, he will stop and lend a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on the moment he figures out something is wrong.
HISTORY Unlike most normal kids around his age, Emil was born to two relatively well known parents. His father was a famous Japanese actor while his mother was an American world-renowned photographer. Upon meeting each other and falling in love, the couple slowly began reducing the amount of projects they were involved in until barely anything remained. Soon after, they announced their retirement to the world and moved to a relatively small town in the north-eastern coast of the US. While many people rejected those plans, couple was eager to leave their life of fame behind for the more "calm living."
While the parents left their occupations behind, they still continued to practice their art and instilled that love within their children. While most took to acting, Emil enjoyed photography. The idea of preserving a snapshot of life within a single frame fascinated the boy, and with his mother's help, his skill grew phenomenally. By the time he graduated, he was eager and ready to enter the photography industry, yet due to rude critics saying that he was riding off the success of his mother, Emil took a different route to his dream.
Under the careful supervision of his mother and father, Emil began to send his portfolio to different agencies in Japan in need of a photographer. For anyone to actually acknowledge him, he figured, he had to make it big in a place his mother was not well-known. After receiving a response from an agency, he packed his bags and moved to Japan soon after.
Though Emil initially was only a nature photographer, he found that he would have to make his way up to that status. Thus, he initially started off as a photographer for a small magazine and slowly built his way up to gravure. Though he wouldn't consider it his ideal career, he doesn't mind, seeing it as a stepping stone for a future occupation.
APPEARANCE Standing at 5'10", one could say that Emil is a good-looking man. With his bright blue eyes and stoic expression, he exudes an aura of mystery. He inherited the illusion of youth his father had, hence explaining why Emil looks a few years younger than he actually is. Though he is capable of many emotions, his expression can be described as deadpan at best. While he has the option of wearing trendy clothes and looking good doing so, he usually opts for more casual clothing. It is not surprising to see him arriving at a photo shoot dressed in baggy jeans, t-shirt, beanie, and headphones blaring enka music.
OTHER FEATURES When reading or examining his photos, Emil usually is seen wearing glasses. He does have his ears pierced and can be seen wearing earrings from time to time.

OTHER INFORMATION
TALENTS & SKILLS Above all else, Emil is known for his fantastic talent at photography. Under careful instruction from his mother, Emil can turn a desolate wasteland of trash into something beautiful. It is because of his creativity and slightly perfectionistic mind frame that creates every picture Emil takes into a fantastic display of art. While Emil prefers nature photography, the past years in Japan has honed his skills in other types such as fashion and gravure. Other than that, Emil is quite the chef and enjoys creating new dishes.
