mark my three hundred and seventy three words,@open to anyone. this is for you, to no one else. might i add something, notes. it's a promise, a deal. ✩ | |
Oh yeah! Time to shine yet again! Shiro thought happily and giddily as he arrived at Shinjuku Gyoen. The event of flower-viewing and Sakura-tree gazing were traditions at Japan, it was annually appearing at the local newspaper. It was special on its own. But this year, what made it more special than any other spring event was that idol groups were appearing. And he was in an idol group--Super Rangers. And yes, he was going to be present in this event. His idol group can't just lose to The Kings, especially with popularity among fans! This was a great way to boost Super Ranger's popularity.
Because he was a soloist, Shiro was not with the rest of the Super Rangers that was bound to arrive, too. He was used to it since he was always alone since the beginning. Later, when the whole team arrived, Shiro would be joining them. He had already thought fans would be delighted that the Super Ranger soloist would be with the whole team!
Soft pink petals were all around the park, drifting down slowly and providing a lovely sight. The air smelled sweet with fragrance from the flowers. Shiro, wearing a stylish outfit comprised of black, casual blazers he left unbuttoned topping a white shirt printed with a single star and jeans and rock star shoes, breathed in the fragrance. He had his tinted sunglasses on and a smile was plastered on his face.
This was going to be a lovely day.
However, Shiro can't do anything for now except just stand. He'd be joining his group for today, but they still weren't here.
Ugh, they should hurry! It's rude to make fans wait! Although they do it all the time... For the meantime, Shiro stood under a the shade of a large, Sakura tree. People kept pouring inside. He wondered how many minutes his sunglasses could hide his identity. He shrugged his shoulders at the thought. It'll happen, it's inevitable.
Shiro looked around with his arms crossed and his earphones on, trying to spot some celebrity or just any idols and bands around. At least, if he found some, then surely not all these people would just flock around him. They'll be divided.
Where are they?

| S ince she grew up and still resided in Shinjuku, having Hazuki as Cafe❤Kokoro's representative at Shinjuku Gyoen made perfect sense. It also helped that she wasn't going to be ignoring her work just to gawk at the idols attending this particular hanami -- it wasn't anything arduous, and she could still enjoy herself. All she really had to do is hand out flyers, sell sweets, and make simple drinks themed for the occasion...but she was alone, and that made her nervous.
At least the atmosphere was fairly calming. She wore a special uniform for the day, coloured the same pale pink as the cherry blossoms, and her head was adorned with a crown of real flowers. A small, equally pink stand for her cafe was set up along a few other stands selling food -- and maybe some famous people; Hazuki couldn't be able to tell unless there was a massive line-up in front of the table, and even then the queue could just be for popular food instead -- and all the equipment matched the same flowery theme, too. Even the disposable cups and napkins had some sort of animal-and-sakura illustration printed on them, all of which she drew herself. Her table was even was assigned a spot right under a huge tree.
Petals fluttered onto her table from time to time, which she brushed away periodically. She was even given a broom to clean up the area around the stand, but it was more for show than anything. It felt lonely being at a hanami by herself, especially for work, but there was still time to go out with her friends another day. She wasn't going to be serving until closing at least, and a crew from the cafe will come take down the stand eventually, but until then she was left to stand and pose and serve customers while most other people at the park sat on blankets and ate and hung out with friends. There were some others standing around under the trees from what she could see from her spot in the park, but they were probably just waiting for friends to arrive and wouldn't be alone for long.
Hazuki smiled and bowed to the passing people who had no intention of stopping. She was even able to give flyers away to some people who wanted to look her way for a bit, even though they weren't interested in buying anything right then. When someone actually did approach for food, she was grateful, and perhaps prepared their order with more energy than usual, hoping to attract others to help with the slow boredom the day might unfortunately turn out to be. No matter what happens, keep it cute, her manager said.
She was trying. Even as she prepared a sencha and sakura blend for herself, she was still smiling and clapping as she went along. Hazuki was alone, but today wasn't going to be so bad. Surely. |

| This is fine. Kaoru mused at her fortune for being able to come out and enjoy a Hanami. With her new job as an idol it was difficult to reel back an enjoy simpler things in life such as beauty of nature rather than the artificial ones sculpted by humanity. Unless Kaoru made a real effort to do so, coming to events such as these were rather difficult to say the least. Even if it was under the guise of a public appearance, Kaoru did not mind the role she had to take as of this moment. It was not all perfect mind you. She could not wear her street clothes and was insisted to become dolled up for the eyes of society but it was good enough. Expecting too much would be arrogant of the woman and arrogance was not much a forte.
Instead of her street wear a formfitting red dressed replaced it, hugging and choking each of Kaoru's curves that stopped mid thigh to show off the woman's legs. The dressed matched the stark red eyes that darted upwards to observe the falling blossoms as she strolled through the peaceful path. It was only a matter of time after all until someone would notice she arrived. She would not hide. It was a public affair that was announced after all. Enjoying it too much would almost make this into a day of fun and games rather than work. She simply hoped it would not bleed the joy of this day dry.
That aside she heard others idols were not far behind and mimicked attendance in one way or another. Public announcement or not, Kaoru knew that other idols should not be far behind when one had already notified their attendance. Whether it be checking out herself as competition or enjoying themselves, it mattered not. Others were here and as an idol she must keep up. |

Post by Hayato Moriyama on May 23, 2014 2:21:15 GMT -5
...Yet another event that Hayato didn't necessarily want to be a part of...it was just too bad that there wasn't really anything that he could do about it.
It wasn't like he wanted to dislike Hanami, anyway...he just sort of did. It wasn't really his thing, to be honest. He didn't mind attending such events for the fans, of course, and that was the entire reason that he had put up with going to these events to begin with. If he had it his way, he'd just let Shiro do everything.
Unfortunately, for Hayato, he was the leader. That usually meant that, aside from events where individual members were booked, he had to go everywhere that SUPER☆RANGERS was scheduled to be at. After all, he was the one that was expected to keep an eye on them whenever the manager wasn't around...not that he ever actually did that particular part of the job...there was a greater chance of him pulling a prank on Hitori than actually doing work - not that too many people in the agency really knew that.
Hayato wasn't even sure there were words that could describe how he felt about having to attend this event. It was no secret that he didn't like big parties - festivals like this one were a whole new story! Prior to SUPER☆RANGERS, Hayato hadn't necessarily participated in many festivals like Hanami. He and Shosuke usually avoided them - not that they had ever really been invited in the first place. Honestly, Hayato was just taking a while to get used to the fact that people actually wanted to be associated with him now. It was a nice change from the past where people usually made fun of him for his hobbies and interests.
He wasn't sure that he liked being as lost as he was, though. It wasn't a good feeling.

People were starting to gather at the park, one by one trickling in and looking around to spot the one person they had come here for. Though Kaoru made no attempt to hide her identity not many people seemed to see her. If they had they likely were not interested. On further analysis the female idol noticed the ratio between female and male attendants. It was rather curious. Maybe one of the boy bands had come to the Hanami as well? It was fine with Kaoru as a person since it took attention and heat away from her. Still it was a competition in a sense. The idol MiYU couldn't be seen outdone by someone else, especially considering she was from Afternoon Delight. There was some reputation in the name that she must live up to.That was not to say that the soloist did not already have a large fan base between males and females considering she is part of Afternoon Delight. In fact there were a few faces that Kaoru passed and greeted with a smile or friendly laugh when they recognized her. Some even came prepared and gotten a picture or a "selfie" with the female before she made up an excuse to leave. It was the least she could do and the most she probably could have manage in her current attire. Every time that "MiYU" was found however, Kaoru made it a point to quickly move to another section of the park away from where she was spotted to keep the crowding around herself down. The park was large and so people scattered everywhere trying to find their goal while enjoying themselves. It was exactly the type of crowd that Kaoru would attempt to blend into if it was one of those types of days. Unfortunately it wasn't to which the lady shrugged her shoulders. That aside there were many other attractions aside from the idols themselves and hopefully the idols were not the only things that people came out to see."It's not that I want to return to that past. I am just searching for the sky..." The soft murmurs of words from Kaoru trailed off, as if unsure what to say after. Humming in thought, the idol cast her stark red irises up into the sky as she watched several petals and blossoms dance along to the tune of the wind. No matter what Kaoru still had a duty to her work if only to help her mother. So coming up with lyrics when inspired, no matter where she was was part of her line of duty. Speaking of line of duty it was only when Kaoru's eyes were cast back downwards did she see a familiar looking face. Not familiar as if she personally knew them but someone she recognized if only because she made an effort to commit most of her competitions' faces to mind. All she had to do now was remember and decide on her move. It wouldn't look good to cause a scene of course so the female soloist took the friendly approach."Nice day isn't it?" Kaoru would say in a happy, friendly tone that she used when doing her idol duties. It didn't matter to her whether or not she was recognized as an idol or not here considering she came out to the park as "MiYU" in the first place. Still to get her point across that she knew that he was not an ordinary park goer, Kaoru spoke again with her eyes narrowing slightly in a somewhat cunning fashion. "Hayama-san, correct?" She did not want him or anyone around them to be getting the wrong idea though it did not mean they could not have a friendly introduction and chat before going on their ways. Kaoru did not intend to stick around in one place for very long anyway.

Hayato had been somewhat startled when the dark-haired soloist of Afternoon Delight had approached him. After all, outside of his own group, he hadn't expected for anyone - aside from fans - to go anywhere near him. Of course, that was likely do to be related to the fact that he was used to being mostly ignored by his peers.
The surprise had nearly rendered him speechless. All he could do was just stand and stare...which probably looked extremely awkward to anybody that may have been watching from the sidelines. With slightly widened eyes, Hayato responded, "Yes, and, if we're still doing introductions, you would be MiYU-san, right?" Hopefully, he hadn't come off as rude but he was still seriously at a loss about what he could say to her right now.
A few seconds later, Hayato realized that he had never responded to her "nice day" comment.
Chuckling to himself, Hayato spoke up once again, "While it is a bit nice out, I've got to be honest here. I've seen nicer days before - although, those were mostly before I joined SUPER☆RANGERS."
Out of mere curiosity, Hayato decided to stick around and learn a little bit more about Afternoon Delight's soloist. She was competition, after all...and wasn't there that little saying that went like this: 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer'? He was certain that he had heard it somewhere before. Hayato made sure to put that information in the back of his mind in case he needed it later and asked the AD soloist a question, "So...what are you up to?"

For the time it took Hayato to regain his composure to speak Kaoru remained silent and idle. She could tell that he was staring and maybe in some sort of shock. As a fellow idol it was not a reaction that she expected but smiled with it nonetheless. "That's right. I'm glad you know my name." It was her idol name but it was a start. It was likely she also gave his idol name when they spoke so Kaoru did not think twice about it. Instead she casually place her right hand to her hip as she shifted her weight to the opposite leg. Occasionally her eyes would dart away momentarily to keep herself aware of her surroundings, but would always focus back on Super☆Ranger's member. After a few moments it seemed that her comments were being received as the male finally began to respond to her previous statement. For the moment Kaoru exhaled a laugh to chuckle along with the man after he gave his response. It seemed to be a truthful statement which was bold to say the least but she wasn't going to hold that against him for the moment. "Is that so? It'll make your fans sad if they heard you say that." She flashed a smile after the statement but followed up on it as to not sound so critical. Kaoru knew with being an idol it was difficult being yourself and didn't need other people pushing against that. "Still I'm sure you must have your reasons."Surprisingly enough Hayato continued to speak to her and start a conversation rather than attempt to peel from a conversation with a fellow idol. Kaoru did not mind it and was honestly fine with doing so, though she was somewhat intrigued to know that he didn't know that she was to appear here. Then again she did not make it a point to keep up with boy bands often. "I'm here to enjoy the Hanami of course. My agency arranged for me to come for an appearance here though its become more of a meet and greet for the fans." The female idol flashed another smile along with a casual shrug of her shoulders. "Not that I mind." That part was a half lie but no one needed to know that. "What about you? Should I guess that the flock of female fans here are of your doing?"

kiryuu shinya open event thread words: 436 i'm not empty rather i am full of lost feelings rather i am full of lost feelings To be entirely honest, Shinya couldn't have cared whether or not he was here at Hanami. He wasn't too well-known as an idol, so he wasn't too worried about being called out. Then there was the fact that he had been planning to take a nap anyway, and it made no difference to him whether that was at home or in a park. What he did mind though, was the fact that by just being here, he'd been robbed two hundred yen.
Though Shinya wasn't particularly poor—at least not now—his days growing up alone had made him a bit sensitive when it came to spending money pointlessly. Throughout his entire life, he'd been that one kid who was always scouring the advertisements for coupons and sales, the one who could never go out with friends or hang out with a club because there was a limited time sale at the market. That one kid who groused about every last yen and could haggle like a pro.
Anyway, as it went, a friend from high school had dragged him out here to help him calm his nerves as he prepared for a date in the park. Needless to say, things had went well and the couple was now making their merry way through the park, admiring the cherry blossoms and being lovey-dovey and all that fluff. Unfortunately, that left the Russo-Japanese quite alone in his wanderings. He was fairly certain he saw a certain brunet soloist at one point, but he'd immediately fled because God, he wasn't about to get dragged into a flock of fans and madness.
Back to the point though, Shinya couldn't exactly follow his friends as they made throughout the part, since he definitely didn't want to ruin their "special" moment. But yeah, it kinda sucked to be the third wheel. And to have been cheated two hundred yen, but the amount was a little too insignificant to bother asking for it back. Shinya wasn't that stingy, and he wasn't cruel enough to have someone pay for their time of happiness. Besides, maybe sleeping in the park would be a nice change for once (if he wasn't recognized, of course).
With that said, the blond let out a sigh of content and stretched himself out in shady patch of grass. He ignored the way the soft pink petals drifting down from the trees tickled his skin; it wasn't an entirely unpleasant feeling. Closing his eyes—though not before he thought he heard the familiar voice of the SUPER✩RANGERS leader—he covered the top of his face with his arm and relaxed.
