It's Spring in Akiba!
Events...
Hanami at Shinjuku Gyoen is a cherry blossom viewing event. Idol groups, friends, and families will be given the opportunity to relax at Tokyo's largest and most popular park. Thank you, Matcha, for the idea! ^0^)/
Anime Convention / Nico Nico ChoParty both will focus on the otaku aspect of idol groups. I'm starting to lean towards ChoParty since it would allow Internet idols and voice actors to participate on a big stage as well. The even doubles as an anime/gaming convention and a concert for all things Nico Nico. Event info is here, the event should be up soon!
New board!
I added the Shinjuku board to the site!
Sub-boards include...
Shinjuku Station - the world's busiest train station,
Kabukicho - Tokyo's most famous red-light district,
and Shinjuku Gyoen - Tokyo's largest park.
The recording studio and dance studio have also merged into individual sub-boards under the DVL Studio board.
Character-driven events?
The idea was brought up during the pre-spring idea thread. (:
I was always thinking to give characters managing - or members of - idol groups to run the group their own way. So with coming and going of members, it would allow the feel of the group to feel - just like in reality!
For example,
whenever an idol group wants to host their own site event, they can send it to an admin for review and acceptance. Events can range from tours and concerts to PR events... maybe even a music video shoot or recruit auditions? Anything, really!
The site is still kind of small so I'm not sure how well it would go...
