PERSONALITY As a person Kaoru never particularly cared to become an idol. At a young age she certainly had the look and the charm to become anything she wanted to be. When born into the world the girl was in turn under normal weight for newborns and subsequently hospitalized for several days to be monitored. Afterwards it was the responsibility of her father to take care of her as her mother returned to working. As it turns out Kaoru grew into a striking image of her mother and became the envy of many of her female classmates at school. At some point it became necessary for her to learn sword play as a means of self defense from anyone at her school that would wish her harm. As a girl she grew up as a normal child with normal friends and decent grades, no favoritism granted to her based on her heritage.
The girl always knew her mother was a popular actress and chose not to say anything on it. Fortunately this did not get in the way of the relationship of the two as her mother would always take her out shopping when time allowed for it. In turn Kaoru would sometimes be around when her mother worked which allowed her access to viewing the inner workings of shooting movies. Knowing this as well as how her mother always had to hide from crowds, Kaoru knew this was not the life she wished for. As the girl grew into her teenage years, she would begin becoming her mother's most reliable stunt double.
The years passed however and the teen still did not know what to do with her life. After her college graduation, in which her mother was not in attendance, did her friends convince her to enter the modeling industry. She halfheartedly did so in order to silence her friends and gain a decent amount of spending money for herself. After a few days of not hearing from her mother however caused the girl enough worry to break her parent's set taboo and call her mother's agency. After hearing her voice and who she asked about, the agency immediately told her that her mother has fallen ill and was suspended from working until a full recovery. Seizing the chance they asked the girl to fill in for her mother for a few scenes in the movie to complete scheduling, which would allow her to prevent her mother from suffering repercussions in the media.
Agreeing on such conditions Kaoru took up the job, gaining fame for her work and claims of youthful beauty rivaling her mother. This caused the teen to be noticed by the idol industry who noticed her voice, acting skills, and her previous attempts at modeling. Afternoon Delight was the first to approach her with a contract that could potentially earn her millions. Kaoru knew this was not the type of life she wanted for herself and was about to turn down the offer until she discovered the severity of her mother's illness.
