ABOUT	to put it short and sweet, rei is an attention craver. she loves being in the spotlight. she's super confident of who she is to the point of arrogance, yet she does care for others, especially her group mates like an older sister. she's a playful and friendly gal overall. be careful though, she's got a bit of a sharp tongue on her! remember that any snide remarks she makes are all in good fun.
FRIENDS	rei's relatively easy to get along with. it honestly doesn't take much to become her friend. as long as you're ok with her...vibrant personality and non-humble/modest tendencies she's pretty much ok with you. as a leader of a famous idol group and the child of famous actors, it's unlikely that she would have any friends that aren't on the same level of popularity as her but who knows. maybe your character could accidently bump into her while on the streets or something. maybe they'll hit it off and become friends.
ENEMIES	most of her enemies are probably papparazzi type people since she absolutely abhors it when the media twists words around to make someone look and feel bad to ruin their career. to her almost all reporters are like scum. especially tabloid writers. her enemies also includes people who find her annoying and can't stand how in your face she is sometimes. she does have a "fuck you" type of attitude to those who hate on her, which does annoy certain personalities. or sometimes they just clash for whatever reason.
LOVERS	well, i honestly don't have any plans or restrictions when it comes to her romance. she's very much likely to be the type of person who has crushes on others. i'm also ok with a romance involving a civilian or something. as long as it is in secret. romance is a bit forbidden in the idol industry you know! of course, no matter what her true love will always be herself.

REI & ROSE:

I was hoping that these two could have known each other since they were kids. It seems like they were both pushed into the spotlight since they were young and grew up in a similarly privileged lifestyle, so they could have first come across each other during auditions for various musical/dancing/modeling roles. At first they could have started off as friends, but years of competing against each other tarnished that friendship and transformed them into rivals.

And it really doesn't help that they're both the leaders of fiercely competing female Idol groups.

I'd like to think that Haru and Reiko both auditioned for the Houkago Project's Afternoon Delight but Haru was knocked back whilst Reiko wasn't, which is something that she took quite personally. It's why she'd dedicated her all to GEM247 and finds satisfaction in taking Reiko's fans from her and out-shining her in the public spotlight.

In front of an audience, Haru would pretend that she does nothing but support and encourage Reiko but behind the camera she makes no pretense that she'd like nothing more than to see Reiko's idol dream shattered into a million fragile pieces - she's probably the one who started the rumors that Reiko isn't a natural redhead, and is likely feeding The Goddess whatever nasty information on Reiko that she can. I imagine that they're the type to sing off against each other, claiming that it's for charity or something like that, but in reality they're just trying to out-perform one another.

Maybe, after some threading, they could slowly reconcile their differences and come to at least tolerate each other. But for now it's dramatic rivalry.

hmm yes i like that plot a lot and the dynamic you've created between them. rei did take dance lessons when she was younger so she could've met rose through that. they could've had fun being kids and what not while learning to dance together and continued to be friends as they grow up. like you said rei doing better in the audition would definitely cause a wedge between the two, especially since rose's the type of gal to hold it against rei. reiko would've definitely been confused by the whole situation and even thought that rose was still her friend for a bit until one day she hears her spreading the rumors early in her career. 

plus it also works really well with the site's canon. rose being jealous of rei for her ability to get into the famous and highly coveted aftenoon delight group. rose goes to gem instead and her feelings towards rei and determination to steal her friends would play a part in how gem suddenly so high in popularity, etc. it just all works really well.

i'd also suggest that you send some rumors in to the gossip goddess to really seal the deal too!

also, maybe they could rekindle their friendship through nostalgia of some sort. after a bit, maybe they could hear that the building of their old dance class is being torn down and they go visit it one last time on the same day coincidentally. they'd start talking and share memories and forget their rivalry for a bit. and the whole experience being the first of many to let their relationship heal.

Hmm ... well, I'm hoping that Sakura and Haru will be close friends, so Reiko could always start a rumor that the two have broken the no-dating rule, thus risking Haru getting dumped by GEM. But Haru's pretty reckless so really spreading unflattering rumors about who wouldn't be all that difficult - she's an illegitimate love-child from her mother's secret affair and that's why her relationship with her parents is nearly non-existent, she secretly partakes in weekly drag-races in the Tokyo Underworld, her eyes aren't actually scarlet but are made to look that way with contacts, blah blah blah.

But I'm glad that you're happy with this plot idea C: Let me know when you want to start threading these two together.

[Ayano Takagaki]

It would make sense for Ayano and Rei to at least be the slightest of friends, it being that the two are both part of Afternoon Delight, and also are nearly at the same level of popularity[Rei being a bit higher up then Ayano is].Ayano may not be all that fond of Rei all the time due to her sharp mouth, and may consider her to have a 'lack of maturity for a leader', but for the most part I feel the two could get along well. I don't know if them being friend could help with plotline very well, as I cant see how either of the two will effect each other in the long run. But it would be kinda fun to maybe have the two almost be rivals, as they both enjoy popularity, even if for different reasons.

i don't think rei would be the type to start a rumor rumor. if she did, the way i see it happening with her would be somebody would talk about rose and maybe start saying stuff about her too, it'd get her mad and she'd slip up and say that they were getting intimate or something to another person. it's also relatively easy to start rumors about rei too. her parents were both rich so maybe you could say that she bought her way in instead of being talented? maybe you could say that she uses autotune too. she doesn't have a romantic interest yet but pretty much anything could be said about her.

i also have an open thread with her in the even board that no one has replied to yet. you could post there if you want. or if you'd rather have a closed thread i'd understand. i'm pretty much good on whenever to start threading. heck we could even start a closed thread now if you don't want to post in my open one.

yes that sounds good. i could see rei ending up getting on ayano's nerves quite a bit with her ways. if you do make rei the type of person ayano would open up towards more then rei would definitely tease her about her childish ways and how she acts all mature. if not, then i could definitely see her calling out on ayano's bs about maturity either way. ayano would get angry at her for being immature then rei would definitely be the type to tell her to loosen up before teasing her about something.
