After giving it a lot of consideration Saya thought that she'd figured out just the place to go out to lunch with her best friend. Things were harder than they might've seemed because of the fact that Sayaka wasn't sure what places would be suitable. She was the kind of girl who was usually pretty laid back about her choices in cuisine so this was a bit of a challenge for her. Often she'd just be content to sit around the home filling up on whatever munchies happened to be sitting around the place. At most she would convince herself to pop something into the microwave and have a meal in a few minutes. Eating out wasn't something she did all the time but she did have some favorites. So having narrowed it down to that she was happily leading her friend to a nice Indian restaurant just a couple of train stops beyond their studio. Not too expensive and you could specify how spicy you wanted the food to be when you placed an order so even if the girls didn't want spicy, they'd be okay.
As the stood before the establishment Saya knew well for its delectable curry, she looked to Yuki and grinned proudly. This certainly couldn't be considered 'too weird' for her redheaded friend so far as she was concerned. Nice and simple but utterly delicious. Since they'd left the studio the soloist hadn't actually said much as she concentrated on narrowing down their dining options once and for all. Actually she knew several places in this neighborhood so they'd been able to at least head to the same stop no matter what she eventually chose. Now it was just time to see if her friend could handle this kind of food okay, or if they'd need to go somewhere else. There was a Taiwanese restaurant around the corner which was pretty good too. As she finally cleared her mind Saya realized she needed to respond to her friend's statements from a few minutes earlier.
"You're sure that milk doesn't help your bust grow at all? I just know that Hayato-niisan is going to be super disappointed to hear that!" she stated teasingly, laughing at the idea of a brother/sister pairing again, "Anyway this place has probably the best curry in Tokyo as far as I've tasted. You can take it from Saya, their curry takes something basic and serviceable and turns it into an art form. You won't be disappointed."
Then Saya was a little more serious as she added, "I'm glad you think I'm pretty enough.. I just worry sometimes that I'm not good enough looking. But I think Yuki-chan has a better chance of getting a boyfriend than me, if she could at all. But if she could she wouldn't be an idol, and then she wouldn't be my friend because we wouldn't have met! So who needs boyfriends anyway?!"

Ready to Rock The idol was pleasantly surprised by her friend's choice in restaurant. While not the biggest fan of Indian cuisine, Yuki would say that that's more out of inexperience with it rather than dislike. Her experience with curries was also as more of a 'throw everything together and see how it tastes' food rather than a specially prepared one, too, so a proper one might just be the thing to win her over. Going by that grin she had on her face it looked like her friend was confident in her decision to come here.
"Ah, yeah, I'm sure that it doesn't help, so if that's his thing..." Yuki replied, scratching the back of her head in embarrassment. It was stupid of her to think that, in hindsight, even if there was some twisted logic behind the superstition. "I'll trust you about the curry here, though, so if it fails to live up to expectations, I'm holdin' you responsible~!" That was the bad thing about hype, unfortunately. If you set your sights too high, then the disappointment could be crushing. Of course, if you didn't get excited for something, then it was less likely you'd try it out.
"Haha, yeah, who needs boyfriends! We certainly don't!" Well, Yuki did sort of want to experience what love was like, but it wasn't an overwhelming urge of hers, and she didn't exactly have time for that, anyway. An on-line relationship, maybe, but actually going out on dates would take away a lot from her already rare and valuable free time. The scandal wouldn't be worth it, either. "And if a guy says he doesn't want you to be his girlfriend, well, he doesn't know a good thing when he sees one!"
Yuki was maybe talking a bit loud since when she walked in to the restaurant there was a young couple near the front staring at them in amusement... or maybe bemusement. "Heheh... sorry." She said, partly to them, partly to Saya, and partly to no-one at all. "Umm, should we take a seat...?" The girl asked her friend, not willing to make more of a scene for themselves. | ► Haha, poor Hayato. |

Thankfully it didn't matter that Saya had ended up going for Indian food after all. Yuki was willing to go along with it even if she might not have been the biggest fan of the cuisine on offer. To be honest neither had Saya at first but this place was a special exception to her general rule of not liking Indian food. Not only were the staff super friendly and helpful but they made the best curry she'd ever tasted. Being as all consuming when it came to food as she was, that was a high compliment to pay someone's culinary efforts. Eager to move past the awkward topic of whether milk helped your bust line grow, Sayaka threw herself fully into promotional mode. Part of being an idol was promoting things anyway so this was really good practice!
"I've got nothing to worry about then! This place is a really well kept secret, their prices are reasonable and the food is absolutely out of this world. If you don't agree then I'll be happy to eat your helping as well, to spare you from consuming something you might think is sub-par," she teased as she started leading the way to a table in the far back corner. It was usually where she sat in this place anyhow, so as best to not attract attention to herself when she wanted to lay low. Knowing that the couple at the front was eyeing them oddly just hastened her desire to get out of plain sight.
On the way to her usual table she shrugged, "Well either he doesn't know a good thing when he sees it or he's Hayato-niisan. I wouldn't have it any other way with him though.. and if it means I get to see a few cute boys when I go visit him at his office.. well, that's just an added bonus!"
Saya laughed at her comment before bowing dramatically and motioning to the table, "After you, Minase-ojousama! As this is your first visit to this particular dining establishment, allow me to be your humble guide to the culinary delights of India!"
Almost immediately after that she cracked up so bad she had to sit down before her 'guest'. Only after several moments of uncontrollable giggling was she able to add, "Seriously.. seriously though.. I'd like to try on some Indian clothes sometime, they're really pretty.. anyway, just look at the menu and I'll tell you what to expect with it."

Ready to Rock Yuki laughed at Sayaka's introduction to the restaurant. "Maybe you should guest star on a restaurant review show." She promptly switched to acting out various roles. "'Oh, this food is truly awful! Saya-chan, please, you need to save us with your powers of lacking good taste in food!' 'I don't know what you're talking about. Saya says that this food is delicious. I give it 3 1/2 stars~!'" If they weren't walking around in public she'd have probably struck a Saya-like pose as well. That would be overdoing it, though. Regardless, she couldn't help but grin like an idiot.
It was a little odd to be talking about boys as an idol. Even though there was no dating, they were all teenage girls, so it was something that was going to come up. It was different, though, because of that no dating rule. You could talk the talk, but you'd get looks if people thought you liked someone, and god forbid if you professed that you wanted to go out with them. Thankfully Yuki hadn't been tested yet in that respect, though she did wonder what it'd be like to love and be loved. She'd be missing out on typical high school girl stuff, but ultimately, she'd rather be non-typical, despite her curiosity.
Sayaka wasn't done being silly, which was just fine by her. Silly was fun. "Much appreciated, Motoyama-dono, I do not think I would have found my way to my seat had you not been there to guide me." She took her seat after Sayaka, and grabbed a menu. There were a lot of things, some familiar, others not so much. Let's get something unfamiliar... well, after double checking with my valiant guide first.
"Maybe you could do something with an Indian flair for your next solo music video? Or push for a group thing - I love getting dressed up in different things." Yuki conversed with her friend as she read over the menu. Something in the drinks section drew her attention. "Hey, what's 'sweet lassi'? That sounds like it could be alright. And..." She pointed randomly at something on the main course menu. "Karaikudi kozhi curry. Alright, I'm going to have a proper, Indian curry." | ► Safari for saris~! |

If there was one thing that Yuki could do better than anyone else in the world, it was make Saya laugh. Even just a little gesture or voice would be enough to give the light brown haired idol a fit of giggles, but this was too much. Her friend suggesting she host a restaurant reviewing program, coupled with the voice, had Saya almost in stitches as she tried to decide what they should eat. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't stop laughing or chuckling even as they took their seats slightly more out of public view than when the fit had begun. Stressful though the morning practice had been for her this was a perfect release for her. Once again her stomach growled a bit, clearly unsatisfied with just the meager offerings of Pocky and potato chips which had been made in the studio a while earlier. Something absolutely had to be done about it before the stomach took over and drove the soloist to do something truly reprehensible in the name of acquiring sustenance. Thankfully they had menus to peruse and that was exactly what she needed to curb the growing hunger within until they could at last place an order.
"You're quite welcome, Minsae-san. Showing you to your seat has been my pleasure, but now we must place an order so that a certain idol does not go on a Godzilla-like rampage through the restaurant in search of food. Now let's see what we have here.. anything new?" she responded cheerfully as she flipped through the menu in search of any new additions the establishment might have made since her last visit.
"Lassi is an Indian drink that's kind of like a sweet juice or soft drink, and it's really good! You'll find it comes in regular and mango flavor," Saya pointed out while grinning in satisfaction as she announced, "I'm going to go for mutton curry with a side of cheese nan. Unlike regular nan - which is just a big piece of tasty flat bread - cheese nan is like a cheese pizza for you and your friend to share in all its deliciousness. Let's get the one and share it so you can experience its truly amazing flavor without packing in too much. Gotta leave room for dessert, right?"
Saya winked and then got very excited, "Really? You think they'd let me wear a sari or something for a music video? Maybe I should try for that solo first, then if it goes well push for a group thing so we can all wear really pretty clothes!"
