Post by Ryoma Kurosaki on Sept 11, 2014 1:54:14 GMT -5
In all honesty, Ryoma had no clue why he was here in the first place. These types of events were almost the exact opposite of what he enjoyed. Souta was the otaku in the family – having spent most of his time watching anime and reading manga rather than practicing for auditions despite insisting that his dream was to become an idol. It was Ryoma that ended up attending 95% of the vocal and dancing classes that his brother had been scheduled to attend. It should have been no surprise that Brown Moose wanted Ryoma over Souta for KiNGS since the younger twin hadn't even bothered to show up when he was scheduled to meet with them – getting his parents to send the older one in his place – but Souta still felt like he was wronged.
Seriously...and people wonder why Ryoma couldn't stand the brat.
The kid always tried to take credit for what Ryoma accomplished. After Ryoma debuted with KiNGS, he even tried to ride on his coattails into the world of entertainment. It had, of course, been a total failure for Souta since the kid didn't even have the guts to come out on stage when Ryoma called him out during a KiNGS Live Concert – an event that the whole family, barring Ryoma since he was the reason they had them, had backstage passes for (and he had to give up a lot to secure those, by the way) – that took place on their birthday.
Not only was Souta trying to ride on Ryoma's coattails, but he had apparently expected to do so without ever showing his face when Ryoma actually gave him an opportunity to do so. Of course, that was one thing that Ryoma couldn't blame him for. Souta supposedly dreamed of becoming an idol and it would probably suck to know you only got recognition because of your almost identical twin.
Still, though, he had no idea why he was stuck here waiting in line for an event he had no interest in...for a person that didn't even make an attempt at being civil toward him outside of their birthday.
Well, he supposed that wasn't entirely true. Regardless of their strained relationship, Ryoma and Souta were still brothers...twins, even. That had been why Ryoma had destroyed the reputation of the most popular guy in Souta's high school around two years ago after finding out who had caused the bruises that Ryoma spotted on Souta's arm during summer break one day. After all, the only person allowed to pick on Souta was Ryoma.
As the line finally moved forward, Ryoma couldn't help but chuckle to himself, "The things I do for you, gaki..."

It took every ounce of energy in Hayato's body to keep a straight face. After all, it wouldn't exactly be good for the SUPER☆RANGERS image if the leader were to be so excited about an event such as this despite it's popularity. Normally, he wouldn't care, but their lovely manager had warned him to not to act too much like his normal goofball self when she had found out that he was going to this year's Comiket. Personally, he thought that the fans would love to know the real him...but that was why he was just the pretty face that sold singles while the manager handled all of the business aspects and most of the PR work. After being lost in his thoughts for a few minutes, Hayato finally noticed just who was in front of him. Ryo of KiNGS? What the hell was he doing here? That guy usually made fun of the people that went to this sort of thing when people weren't looking. Then again, though, Hayato did go to school with the guy's twin so it shouldn't have been too surprising. However, Hayato had always had the impression that Ryo didn't get along with his brother - at all. His classmate had certainly made it clear that there was no love lost between himself and his idol brother. Well, it wasn't like it was any of his business anyway, right? Deciding to ignore the eyesore in front of him, Hayato took out his phone. Maybe he could get Yuki to come out today? It's not like it meant anything, right? They just both happened to be into this kind of thing and they could pretend to run into run into one another. Quickly, Hayato typed out a message to one of his few female friends (outside of Sayaka-chan, of course). Want to meet up at Comiket?

Ready to Rock Chances were if you've been to a convention you've seen cosplayers before. Costumes varied incredibly, from the indecent to the full body suit and everything in between. At the latter end of the scale were the people who dressed as iconic robots. Whether power armour or actual mecha, they had a great deal of presence due to their size. Bulky and unwieldy, it was clear that anyone mad enough to don one of these papier-mâché monstrosities was either a creative genius or mad, probably both. There was absolutely nothing practical about them at all, from movement to comfort to heat to even the ability to sit down.
Naturally, Yuki was one of these people.
She'd finished the final touches to her Gerbera Tetra Kai cosplay the night before, and it was truly a masterpiece. She'd had to make a few concessions on the armour since she wasn't a big guy, but not quite to the level of Mecha Musume. Her father, Takumi, had, perhaps more sensibly, only worn a Federation uniform, despite Yuki insisting that he should join Zeon for great justice. His remark about her being in a Federation suit that was piloted by a Zeon defector was met with a pout and a glower.
Normally they'd have been near the front of the line, but Takumi vetoed catching the earliest trains since it'd be terribly uncomfortable and unhealthy. Even though her work as an idol had improved her fitness, Yuki wasn't the sturdiest of people. She would never admit it, but he was probably right to catch one of the later trains. At least they'd be there before opening.
"Yuki-chan, you've got a message." Her father said as he held up her phone. He'd been saddled with the duty of carrying everything. If only it were an actual phonecall - she'd changed her ringtone to 'Men of Destiny' to match her cosplay. "Oh, thanks!" She said loudly, her voice muffled by the helmet. Yuki exchanged her beam machine gun for the phone and realised that it was both hard to see what it said and her fingers wouldn't be able to press any of the buttons anyway.
A few minutes later, she was ready to answer to respond. Oh, it's Hayato-san. Hehe, leaving plans a little bit late, aren't you? She'd even made a blog post about it... although she doubted he read that. Actually, I posted that pretty late as well, didn't I? Whatever, it should be a given that she was going to Comiket. She started to type out a response.
in line nao look 4 the red robot SIEG ZEON (`^´)/
She sent the message, idly wondering if he was here already or if he'd just gotten out of bed and remembered the day. Maybe there would be more than one red robot here today, too - it would be funny if he accidentally went up to someone dressed as Char's Zaku II thinking it was her. | ► Woooooooo!! If you love me let me go
| As a student in one of Japan's most prestigious universities, Bunei felt guilty about attending the event. With the new school year, he pledged to venture into maturity and focus on more adult like things seeing that his graduation would slowly be creeping up on him soon. But he couldn't help it. He had never grown out of his childish fantasies - his pure heart didn't waver so easily. Not to mention that his idol, Minase Yuki, had mentioned an appearance in her blog. The young man took in the sight with a heavy breath - the crowds of fans gathered around costumed attendees, shuttering cameras and excited chatter filled the air. The environment was filled was so much to look at, it immediately eased the boredom the long line may have caused. So this was what Comiket was like? The atmosphere was nostalgic of the GEM events that he often attended, bringing a sense of familiarity to the first timer. Bunei's eyes shone in a jovial auburn and his bleached hair swayed slightly in the soft breeze. He decided to coordinate the day's outfit comfortably yet stylish - an evangellion jersey shirt, a pair of black jeans, black ankle-high converses, and his trusty black beanie. Now that he was actually out under the hot sun, he began to regret not wearing lighter colors. At least he would look cool for Miki, right? His brown orbs began to wander around once again, admiring the talents that surrounded him. Incredible make-up, hand made costumes, even full body suits were boldly sported in the hot weather. Many of the costumes didn't look the least bit comfortable but the outfitters wore them with pride! Bunei couldn't help but admire them greatly, he was actually inspired to throw together his own little costume for the next day of the event. |

my dream goes on, framing my future as i go. in pursuit of freedom, "talking" - 'thinking' all / 294 words
A slight blush on her cheeks, Hibiki stared at the mass of people streaming into the Tokyo Big Sight convention center for this special convention, Comiket. 'Uwah, there's so many people!' she thought, before blushing even more. 'I'll have to get used to this, since I am in GEM247 now, even if I'm only a trainee.'Just then, some random person bumped into the blossoming idol, knocking her to the ground. "Itai!" she exclaimed, flinching as she hit the ground. Still sitting there, Hibiki watched as the person walked away without a care, not even saying sorry. 'Mou, some people! Honestly!'Standing up gingerly, Hibiki brushed off the back of her plaid skirt, before picking her bag up. The female pulled her cell phone out, and checked the time, before snapping it closed once more and sliding it back into her bag. Hibiki walked into one of the lines of people waiting to get into the building, biting her lip. It could be hours before she actually got inside, so what to do? She looked around for a bit, picking out a few surprising people. One of the guys from KiNGS, although Hibiki personally didn't really listen to the much; Yuki-sempai from her own idol group, although they hadn't actually met yet; and... "Hayato Moriyama?!" she whispered in awe. What was one of her favorite idols doing here, at Comiket?! Although, Hibiki could hardly say anything. She was also here, after all. But, wow. Hayato Moriyama! Maybe she could even try to talk to him! 'Yeah right, Hibiki no baka. Like you'll ever be able to talk to him without embarrassing yourself completely.' The idol trainee sighed, before turning away from him, a slight flush on her face. |

THE ROCKS WITH HOLES ARE WARM IN MY HAND Back in the game! It's been a few years since Rinko's gone to Comiket, and she's been excited for it since she noticed that she finally had a day off the day of the event. She hadn't been able to attend since she debuted as a proper idol, but now that she's an idol, she now had more funds to cosplay and buy stuff. Lots of stuff, hopefully. She did some research so she'd be more prepared. She made sure she got up early so she could arrive early, and made sure to research doujin circles -- the ones that did all-ages stuff, because she definitely wasn't going to get into trouble if someone finds her buying R18 stuff...not that she was planning to buy any, though! Rinko also made sure to pack a drink, sunscreen, and a fan, since she knew it was going to get pretty hot out there. Rinko even made sure that her cosplay wouldn't make her sweat hard -- though there wasn't much time for anything complicated, so it wasn't a big deal. At first she thought it was funny if she cosplayed an idol, but decided against it when she thought people might think that she looked familiar wearing idol costumes. Instead, she ended up dressing up as Korrina, the Fighting Pokemon Gym Leader, but she used normal shoes instead of rollerblades, and she wore a long blonde wig under a helmet. The costume wasn't flashy but it would still be recognisable, and that was fine by her, since she didn't want to be standing in the cosplay area for the whole time anyway. It was easy enough to make the dress with the help of her sister Yumi, who came much earlier to stand in line; she went to Comiket much more than Rinko and had lots of friends who went, too. Rinko was always jealous of her for that, but at least she brought Rinko back something every time she couldn't go. She was extra glad that she wouldn't break her costume just by walking around the crowded convention area -- and it looked like it was going to be super full, considering the line. Rinko guessed that maybe she was in the first quarter of the growing line, or maybe the first third, and line got longer and longer. Looking around, she didn't recognise anyone, but it was okay, she'd meet up with people during the actual event. She unlocked her phone screen and sent out a mass text to con-going contacts. Waiting in line rn! Anyone wanna meet up? In Korrina from Pokemon cosplay. Blonde hair + white and orange dress, helmet. I wanna meet Tanemura Arina first tho. See you!! Eventually, the line began to move. Comic Market, here we go! ((Pretending that your character has Rinko's number = 100% okay, within reason -- ex. no civilian fans, of course.)) LAIKA OF GS!

Yuki had responded to his message rather quickly. Apparently, the younger girl was already in line...something he probably should have expected. That certainly made things easier for him - considering the fact that she was dressed as a red robot?
Looking up from his phone, Hayato looked around him. There were more people dressed as the iconic mechas than he had assumed when he had initially read Yuki's message.
Luckily, there seemed to only be only five people dressed as red robots so he could probably just approach each one of them until he found Yuki. He just had to hope none of them were rabid fangirls...seeing as Hitori wasn't around for him to push them onto. With a soft sigh, he began to walk toward the closest red robot. As he got closer, though, he noticed a slightly familiar face. He didn't know her personally but he was pretty sure that the girl was one of the GEM247 trainees that he had probably seen once or twice whenever he decided to visit Sayaka on his days off.
Although he did want to look for his friend, Hayato decided a detour couldn't hurt too much. He approached the familiar-looking brunette and tapped her on the shoulder. "Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to be one of the GEM247 trainees would you?" ooc: Not my best post but it's something...

At the last minute, Hibiki whipped out her cell and took a picture of her cosplay, posting it onto her blog. Just as she slid the phone into her pocket, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Hibiki jumped slightly, not expecting the physical contact, and turned around. "Y-yes?" she asked, her blue eyes shining as she looked up at the person and saw... HAYATO MORIYAMA?! Gaping, the female blushed a bright red, her face practically steaming. "I, uh, h-hai! I am Hibiki Tsukino, trainee o-of GEM247!" she shouted, nervousness impairing her speech abilities. ooc || worst post ever ughhhhh |
