biography Tsukino Mizuki was born into a family surrounded by idols; her father Tsukino Ichigo, was a lyricist for a company called "Moonlight Productions", and her mother Ayame was a choreographer for many male and female groups. When Mizuki was born, her mother went on hiatus for a long while, until Mizuki was able to take care of herself. Mizuki soon went to school, and was soon nicknamed the Moon Child because of her last name and the company her father worked for; also she had avery pale complexion compared to her short hair and radiant eyes. She loved the nick name. In her spare time, Mizuki would practice and help make dance routines with her mom. Soon she started a YouTube channel, called M00nChild, and would post dance covers and sing along to the songs while she danced. Soon her subscribers went into the thousands, with viewers from all over the world. Mizuki was in her second year of lower secondary school when she tried out for an idol group her father had heard about and auditioned for joining. She passed, and the group was made of three boys and two girls. The group was called Young Days, named after a Japanese drama that was coming out in the fall. They were part of the cast of Young Days, and sung the intro and ending song for the drama. They even put out a music video to promote the new t.v. show. This lasted for two years before the show ended; it wasn't as popular as they had hoped. After that, Mizuki was promoted to do commercials, was in a musical drama, and finally, she was a back up dancer for a music video. Mizuki decided to take a break after that to focus on school work, and get back to her YouTube channel. She proceeded into upper secondary school, and in her second year, was found by Gem Talent Agency. They sent her a letter saying they wished her to try out for their group; they were looking for new talent. She agreed, and tried out; she made it in by the skin of her teeth through the first round. Her mother pushed her to practice her dancing and singing even more. The second try out, she passed with flying colors.
