Happy New Year!

School is rolling up just as the busy holidays end, how convenient (not)...
Either way, we got some events for you all to enjoy! Thank you for the suggestions!!

New Year Festival
Okay so it's not much of a festival. But I did do a lot of research on the Japanese New Year and boy, did I learn a lot. It's a very important holiday for the nation filled with superstition, tradition, and spending time with friends and family. So in the midst of the busy life of an idol, celebrity, civilian, or the media, the New Year holiday serves as a break to wrap up the old and begin the new on a good foot.

Go to the temple, throw a party, whatever you want, wherever you want! Hopefully my event post gives a good idea on what the holiday brings!

Sapporo Snow Festival
The legendary Sapporo Snow Festival held in the cold northern island of Japan, Hokkaido! Gorgeous ice sculptures illuminating the night with soft, multicolored lights. I've seen pictures and the sculptures are truly amazing! A musical performance takes place in the Community Dome Tsudeome!

Kouhaku Uta Gassen
Now for this one... I kind of jumped into it without much thought, ahaha. So yes, it's another music festival! The music festival of Japan, actually. Male artists versus Female artists, competing to win over the celebrity judge panel as well as the audience! I thought that it'd be a great opportunity for the groups to mingle a bit more and create some friendly competition between the genders. From what I'm understanding is that the artists perform their own songs with an amazing performance, however I'm not 100% sure.

Either way, how would you guys like to do this event? Should it be a thread or should we try to make it like the Game Show Event? Let's brainstorm!


And regarding the Gossiping Goddess...
The "legendary" rumor mill hasn't done anything really.
Should we get rid of her to allow more elbow room for the media?

So many new events - I'm not sure if I'll be able to participate in all of them, even if they all seem pretty cool. I didn't know Kouhaku Uta Gassen is a real thing, and it's great to see you incorporating these sort of things into the site.

Anyway, in regards to the Gossiping Goddess, I think that it's a good idea, but so far it hasn't been utilised. I have no problem with it staying so long as other people are able to create rumour-based media personalities, and for it to start being used somehow. I'm not sure what would be the best way to go about it, but I do think that an admin based rumour mill would add to the site, and it should be used in some way, when possible.

So many events...not sure what to do about Kouhaku Uta Gassen. I'm sure Hayato will be involved in that in some way, of course...just not sure how.

The Gossiping Goddess is good to have. It just hasn't been utilized much, yet. With the lack of media characters, it's probably somewhat difficult.

Haha, so many events.

Well, I'm apart of the majority concerning the Gossiping Goddess too. Although it hasn't been used I do think it's a good idea and helpful because it can help with idol character plots.

Ironically enough I'm actually thinking about making a character to replace Akane -- one with a gossip blog who'd be the self-proclaim rival of the Goddess.

However, even though I think the Gossiping Goddess should stay, I say if we decide to keep her and nobody posted anything still then we can take her away. At that point, there's nobody posting in that area and it makes the site look empty.

Anyways, as for the Goddess, I still think she could be well utilized, we just need some more gossip to use. Because Tayano does happen to have some tidbits of gossip hanging in her back pocket that she's been simply dying to share with her. ouo Either way, as long as there is plenty of gossip, I'm fine.</sub>

nooooo gossiping goddess should stayy. i think she's cool. other than the fact that no one's been utilizing her.   / THOUGH MORE WAYS FOR HIKARU TO GET IN TROUBLE the kouhaku no gassen sounds like a great idea. imo, i'd prefer it to be a thread but really i don't care either way.

I think the Kouhaku Uta Gassen should definitely have an emphasis, and I'd like to see it as just one thread; it would be condensed, but I think that's a good thing, having everyone together. Not everyone has to address everything, and with competitions the contestants have to go one-by-one, anyway.

Looks like most are in favour of keeping the Gossiping Goddess, which means we're just going to have to send stuff to her, yeah? I suppose that is dependant on the site activity as well, so I don't see it overflowing with rumours just yet. I don't think it has to be the dominating force in the media? As in, maybe it may not update so much, but the rumours could be totally scandalous.

I'm good with one thread, too, for the Kouhaku Uta Gassen since they go one-by-one. What would separate threads be for anyway? Preparation? Pre/post-performance drama? I can't really think of too much.
